Carolyn Allen’s Bridals has been serving the Central Florida area since 1993, starting out in the Radisson Twin Towers (now the DoubleTree by Universal Orlando). Carolyn moved her growing business to the Williamsburg Downs Shopping Center.

When she was ready to retire in 2007, Carolyn handed the reins over to her long-time seamstress and sales associate, Sue, to continue her work and keep her good name and reputation. After another move to the prestigious City Lake Plaza in 2017 where the shop is currently located, Sue and family are still helping couples, adapting to ever-changing style trends and economic demands.

Staying small, the person who you communicate with via phone or email is the same person who will help you in the shop at your appointment and follows through to help your vision from the beginning come alive at the end.

Services Offered

We have tuxedos and suits for rental or purchase. Wedding dresses, accessories, and bridesmaid dresses for special order and off the rack. We are also available to deliver tuxedos, suits and dresses to your wedding venue or hotel. After the wedding we pick up your wedding dress from your resort or you can drop it off in the shop for cleaning and preservation! In-Store Alterations for the Entire Party! Our expert seamstress with over 45 years of sewing experience will make sure your gown fits perfectly, whether you purchased it from us or not. We can also alter bridesmaids, mothers, and flower girl dresses, as well as tuxedos and suits. In fact, many of our wedding parties are repeat customers and regularly have us alter their everyday clothing.

Service Area

We provide onsite steaming with delivery of any shipped garments to Disney and Universal Resorts, Resorts/Hotels and Villas around International Drive, 192 and Davenport, Downtown Orlando, and select Winter Park venues.

Pricing

Our wedding dresses for purchase start at $1000 to $3000 for new gowns we are able to order. Sample sale wedding dresses range in price from $800 to $2000. Bridal accessories such as earrings, tiara's, headbands and veils range in price from $100 to $1000. Alteration services vary depending on the style, fabric, complexity and timeline for services needed. Please schedule an appointment for a price and time quote. Tuxedo and Suit rentals range from $200 to $226+tax. Accessory upgrades are available starting at $15+. Tuxedo and suits are available for purchase starting at $400+tax for coat and pants. Tuxedo and Suit purchases range from $450-$1000 depending on the designer and style.

I came here with my friend to find her wedding dress last fall and we had a wonderful time! The consultants were so kind and the process was fun and efficient (she could try on MANY beautiful dresses)! When I needed a bridesmaid dress hemmed for another wedding in the spring, I immediately thought of coming here because of the excellent customer service! The head seamstress is amazing! Carolyn Allen\'s is a fantastic, professional alterations business that presents high quality work. I wore my mother\'s dress and needed some small parts altered but was hesitant on who I should trust with a 38 year old dress that is irreplaceable. Some colleagues recommended Sue at Carolyn Allen\'s and after bringing my dress in for a consultation, I was sure that she would do an excellent job. She executed everything exactly how we first discussed it and my dress fit perfectly and looked amazing. She and her team are friendly, accommodating, and helpful. Beyond the best of the best. Getting your wedding dress altered is scary. I did not have the best initial experience with the first company I went to but WOW what a difference connecting with Sue. She helped me feel at ease with the process. Not only did they delver the dress for my wedding weekend at the Disney resort I was staying at but also steamed it there so I would not have to worry about it. So professional and comforting. I\'m getting my dress cleaned, and preserved through them as well too. Would recommend them to anyone!

Carolyn Allen\'s was an excellent choice for my groomsmen, my dad and myself for tuxedo rentals for my wedding. They were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and went out of their way to be accommodating. The selection was wide and I found exactly what I was looking for. The best part was the delivery and pickup from my hotel/venue. I didn\'t have to worry about it at all once the final measurements were taken - it was all handled by their wonderful team. Everyone looked fabulous and I\'m even considering buying some items from them after the fact. Plus, the group discount meant I could either give my groomsmen some money off their rentals or get mine for free. Highly recommend them for any occasion!

We called the week of our wedding at Disney World as we had forgotten to call pressing and Sue was amazing. They came out the day of and helped with over 11 bridesmaid gowns and over 13 suits. There was no issue at all. They were even able to press our special custom altar cloth. We were ready to go for photos on time and they were just wonderful to chat with. Thanks for making our day so special and on short notice! We owe you our thanks and appreciation.

I was very nervous flying with my wedding dress due to wrinkles and unwanted issues. When searching for a good steaming company it wasn\'t easy because this was new to me and honestly didn\'t know what to look for. Once I found Carolyn Allen\'s, I knew I was going to be in good hands. From the start of communication to the day of, everything was seamless. Communication was quick, prompt and pricing explained very well. One the day of, the 2 steamers (I Forgot their names) were prompt and on time as they were scheduled, we got married in Disney and they were able to come to our room which made it a lot easier for us, given we had so much going on leading up to the wedding. The ladies were very nice and easy to engage in conversation with and took an interest in my wedding story. I would highly recommend Carolyn Allen\'s to anyone getting married in the Orlando area.

Sue & Kathleen were really incredible. I had a major move about a month after I contacted them and they had no problem making the necessary changes to my dress in time. They never made me feel guilty for bringing it in so soon to my moving date. They even offered home cleaning tips for the dress since it was pre-owned. I would recommend them to any Orlando-based bride.

I would highly recommend Carolyn Allen’s Bridals & Formals. Sue is a genius with alterations , extremely knowledgeable and is so kind and welcoming. We have had the pleasure of working with Sue and Kathleen twice now. My oldest daughter got married in Hawaii last year and Sue altered her wedding dress to perfection. We returned the dress to Sue and Kathleen as they offer a great preservation service too. My youngest daughter’s wedding was earlier this month in Scotland. I brought my Mother Of The Bride dress here in the USA and it also needed altering so I took it to Sue to work her magic, and she sure did. Thank you so much Sue and Kathleen .

This place is amazing! I was very delayed with getting alterations for my bridesmaid dress. They never made me feel bad for trying to get my dress altered, so close to the wedding date. They were very helpful and quick. I had my dress in time to leave for the wedding, as it is out of state. The dress fits perfect to my body and the price was reasonable as well. Thank y’all so much for the great service and I will definitely be back and recommend to all my friends.

Carolyn Allen’s did a wonderful job. They asked my budget and my style, and had a binder created when I arrived of general styles and everything within my budget. The dresses were gorgeous and alterations were made quickly. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone.

How did you get started as a wedding pro?

Share a piece of advice to reduce stress in the wedding planning process.

Don't wait last minute! Tuxedo and Suit rentals/purchases may not take as long as the dresses, but you shouldn't wait until the last few weeks to find a rental or purchase something for your event. Especially if it's during peak season (like around Prom or the holidays!). Start shopping about 4-6 months out if you are planning to order a tuxedo or suit. This provides ample time to make sure everything arrives early enough to start alterations or have any customizations completed for your event. For rentals, definitely figure out a budget for your wedding party in advance and then start shopping about 3-4 months in advance. We like to receive all measurements (either in shop or through our online form) at least 7-8 weeks in advance to ensure sizes/styles can be reserved and that your groomsmen do not gain or lose too much weight before the actual fitting the week of the wedding. A final fitting is done the week of to allow for any adjustments.
