Hooray! We’re so excited that you’re thinking of sharing your tips, advice and work with Wedding Venue Map. The focus of the blog on our website is to connect engaged couples with ideas for planning a wedding that represents them, as well as the talented vendors who can make their vision a reality.
What can I submit?
Our primary focus is to showcase planning ideas, so the majority of what we accept are articles about wedding tips and planning advice.
That said, we also accept a limited amount of real weddings and wedding events (sweet proposals, engagement parties, showers and luncheons, bachelor/ette parties, rehearsal dinners and anniversaries). We love featuring proposal stories and styled shoots as well.

Please note that Wedding Venue Map prefers unique articles and real wedding/event submissions that have not appeared on other wedding blogs.
Absolutely! Our exclusivity preference doesn’t apply to the vendors who participated – only to other wedding blogs. As long as Wedding Venue Map.com is the first wedding blog to feature it, that’s just fine with us if you share a small selection of images! We know how hard you work and appreciate how important it is to be able to market your talents to potential couples on your very own blog and social media channels.
We respond to every wedding or wedding-related submission that follows our guidelines. We will do our best to respond as quickly as possible, but due to the volume of submissions, it can take up to 3 weeks for us to review and respond to a submission.
If you don’t hear from us within 3 weeks, please be sure to follow up with us by emailing hello@weddingvenuemap.com to ensure we received your submission.
Please do not be discouraged if your submission is not accepted. Oftentimes, a declined submission simply means it doesn’t fit into our editorial schedule. Even if your submission is turned down, you are welcome to submit new features to Wedding Venue Map.com in the future.
If your submission is accepted, we’ll need a complete vendor list (see acceptance email for details). Wedding Venue Map.com is not responsible for any inaccuracies or omissions in features that result from incomplete vendor lists.
We only schedule your feature once we receive everything needed for the feature (ie. photos correctly sized, full vendor credits, etc.). Then there is usually a 4-8 week wait before the feature goes live.
It’s important that you let as many participating vendors as possible know about the feature so they can plan to promote it through social media, blog posts, and more! If you have an email subscribe list, we encourage you to promote your guest article in your next e-newsletter or email.
The more shares a post gets, the more eyes will land on it. Tag us @weddingvenuemap across all networks and we’ll like / re-share where possible too.
We will promote your feature across our social media networks and our e-newsletters. We will credit all vendors (that are included in the submission info) on Facebook and Instagram.
However, we will simply credit the photographer on images shared to Pinterest. Images pinned from Wedding Venue Map link directly to the original post where followers can find the full credit list.
If you’ve got quick venue snapshots you want to share with us, you can always hashtag your photos #weddingvenuemap and we might regram!
