William and Keyla celebrated their terracotta wedding at The Howey Mansion, a beautiful historic mansion with beautiful unique colors throughout the property!
When we saw their amazing images, we reached out to this amazing couple for all the details that made up their special day!
How did you bring the couple’s vision to life with the services / products that you provided?
Carlos and I provided photography services for Keyla and William’s wedding day. They had about 70 of their closest family and friends join them for a beautiful late winter wedding at Howey Mansion. They really wanted to prioritize spending time with each other and their guests on their wedding day so they chose to do a first look, read private vows, and gave me ample time during their cocktail hour to do portraits with their wedding party in addition to golden hour portraits and nighttime portraits.
It was truly such a beautiful day filled with good vibes, heartfelt moments, and lots of dancing.
What was your favorite personal or design detail that was unique to the couple included in this wedding?
I really loved how Keyla and William really thought about how they wanted to experience their wedding day and then trusted me to make recommendations and gave me time to capture all of the different portraits they wanted around Howey Mansion’s beautiful property.
Tell me more about your roadmap working with this couple.
Keyla and William were recommended to us by one of our previous couples and we actually met them at another wedding we shot. They booked us about 18 months out and over our time together I would keep up with Keyla and William on social media and they would reach out through email if they had questions or needed any vendor recommendations. About 6 weeks out from their event I sent them their final wedding questionnaire (I send those out about 8-9 weeks out now) and they filled that in which gave me insight into their vendors, timings, family formal groupings they wanted, and any special requests they had.
Zoe with Pavone Events reached out 4-5 weeks out from Keyla and William’s wedding day and started consulting with me on their day of timeline and when I would recommend timing portraits for golden hour and night portraits. I was able to take all the information I had from Keyla and William’s final wedding questionnaire and use it to make recommendations for the wedding day and share it with their coordinator.
Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you’d like to share with other couples planning their day?
Invest in at least a month of wedding coordinators, they are worth their weight in gold and I bet they will save you the amount of money you spent on them through their expertise, connections, and vendor recommendations.
Don’t be afraid to lean on your vendors, ask questions if you’re confused, if you need help shoot whoever you think can help you an email.
Congratulations Keyla & William on your terracotta wedding story!
