Wedding and Reception Childcare – What You Get from Destination Sitters LLC

Let you and your guests enjoy your wedding child-free; you provide the room; we provide the fun!
We don’t sit; we play! ® We are Destination Sitters, LLC

Hiring our professional childcare service for your wedding will:

1. Let you have an “Adults-only” and/or “Kid-friendly” wedding/reception/rehearsal
2. Really help out-of-town guests who may not have access to childcare
3. Be a great “thank you!” so your bridal party can enjoy the event child-free
4. Increase attendance of those with children because they have the option of childcare
5. Alleviate any problems, such as a crying, bored, tired, or hungry child, and
6. Enable you and your guests to relax and enjoy your event without having to worry about the children
7. We provide on-site childcare at your wedding venue or at the parents’ hotel
8. On the day of the wedding, we work directly with the wedding coordinator or the venue—we got this!

Destination Sitters’ prescreening standards mean that all sitters, before they can sit at an event or in a hotel
1. are background checked and drug tested.
2. have provided First Aid & CPR certifications.
3. have professional and personal references fully and thoroughly checked.
4. are graduate and undergraduate students, professional women, moms and grandmoms.
5. personally interviewed.
6. average between 22-28 years old, though we also have older sitters (minimum age is 18)
• Destination Sitter’s polo shirt and ID tag for identification
• Many bi-lingual sitters are available (over half a dozen languages are represented)
• Sitters for families of children with special needs are available also

We provide a kid-friendly reception

We can make your wedding day less stressful by helping to create an environment where the children can have their own “Wedding Time Party.” The children will be entertained with arts and crafts, board games, and toys, and can play games (treasure hunts, lawn bowling, Frisbee golf, e.g.) to create a fun atmosphere for the kids. Kids’ activities are designed to meet the needs and ages of the children attending with age-appropriate activities and toys.

We make sure there’s a check in and out of the kids’ room so that the parents will have the utmost confidence in their safety and security.

Pricing

Wedding group childcare costs range from: $1650.00 - $2,250.00. Additional Event Details: Minimum Number of children: 11+ 4-hour minimum 50% deposit 1 week attendance guarantee – additional children will be billed accordingly. Parking for sitters’ vehicles will be charged to event. If the event is scheduled around mealtime, appropriate food and drink needs to be provided for the children and caregivers, with child-appropriate snacks at other times. Outside entertainment can be arranged; additional fees will be added to the bill. What makes you or your business stand out and why should a couple hire you?

Founder & Managing Director - Yvonne Wonder I personally needed childcare 15 years ago. Like most parents, I assumed there were standards for temporary childcare; in reality, there are NO state standards or licensing requirements for temporary childcare. The idea for Destination Sitters was born! I wanted to Give Parents Peace of Mind® when traveling with their children, so I created strictest screening requirements for the sitters we refer.

We work with wedding & event planners, DMC’s and venues to arrange all the childcare needs to provide a seamless transition between the parents and the babysitters. We Give Parents Peace of Mind®! How did you get started as a wedding pro?

I was traveling with my children and needed a babysitting/childcare service. The option was hiring front desk agent or housekeeping after they got off work. Really not an option! Most families traveling with their children do not want to spend their time on vacation interviewing, checking references and screening potential babysitters. They would rather call our service who does the leg work for them. Destination Sitters fills the gap with prescreened fully vetted sitters to give parents peace of mind when traveling with their kids. Those families want to enjoy a wedding, date night, use the spa or just an extra set of hands in a theme park with their call us for assistance. We consider a lot of factors when determining a good fit for your sitter. The dates, times, how many hours requested, multiple days, hotel’s location, child(ren)’s ages, and more. It also important to set competitive babysitter rates and offer a living wage to attract the most professional childcare providers to sure you get the best of the best.
