My name is Michelle and I established Michelle Vila Photography when I captured my first wedding in 2008! We specialize in weddings, special events, and lifestyle portraits.

Located in Winter Garden, we service all of the Central Florida area from coast to coast including Orlando, Lakeland, Tampa, Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Daytona, Vero Beach and everything in between.

Each and every wedding is unique, and I take the time to learn about you, your family, and all of the things that are most important to you. Every image is corrected and cared for in detail, providing gorgeous proofs and prints that are yours to keep forever.

• 6 hours with two videographers
• 15-20 minute 4k cinematic film

How would you define your "style"?

“Timeless” when it comes to trends and important elements that need to be captured. “Natural but vivid” when it comes to skin tones and the natural colors in the image but the natural colors are beautifully enhanced. “Guided” when it comes to posing, flattering light, and positioning possible.

What does the process of working with your company look like?

After securing the wedding date, we connect immediately about setting up when/where you would like to do the engagement session. Then the next time we speak would be 2 months before the wedding where I begin to collect all of your family information. One month before the wedding we have an extensive chat about all of the details (all about family, specific shots you want, detailed timeline to make sure everything you want is captured, etc.)

What is included in your most popular packages?

All of our packages are 100% a-la-carte so they’re customized to exactly what you need for your wedding day. I don’t have any pre-made packages. That being said, the most popular amount of coverage time is 7 hours with 2 photographers, with about half of all weddings booking an engagement session and/or wedding album.

What is a unique tip you tell your couples that is specific to your vendor category?

Like your photographer! Trust your photographer! Use their knowledge! They’re the ones that will be with you your entire wedding day, and they’re the ones that have seen all of the intimate details of a special event.

What current trends have you seen at weddings?

Current trends for photography right now are the speed-table shots. There are other design trends that come and go (like styles of alters, dessert tables, flowers, etc) that I have seen so many over the last 15 years they blend together. As far as photography goes I still like to keep it timeless!

What advice would you give a couple who is starting the search for the perfect venue?

When you get those butterflies in your stomach and you start envisioning yourself there, that means you found the right place! I’ve always compared it to like when you’re house hunting! Also communication from the venue is very important as well! You want a venue that has great communication!

What makes you or your business stand out and why should a couple hire you?

1) I treat every single wedding as a completely unique event and spend multiple hours connecting with the client the month before the wedding. During that connection I take the time to learn all about the family, the couple’s unique interests and important parts of capturing the day, and creating a very detailed timeline from beginning to end. The timeline is so detailed that you will know what time hair and makeup starts, when and where all of your family needs to be and what time they should be ready, creating your family formals shot list for you, and even help laying out your reception timeline for optimal coverage. The guidance I provide throughout your wedding day is above and beyond your average photographer. Because I have been photographing weddings for 15 years, I have truly seen it all! 2) I graduated with a technical degree in photography, which is also rare to see today among newer photographers in the business. 3) I have learned about what truly is the most important parts of the wedding day and capture it in a timeless fashion, with true accurate skin tones and beautiful colors. I have seen many trends come and go and I will always stick to timeless photography. 4) All of our “packages” are 100% completely a-la-carte so I customize to exactly what you need for your wedding day. I do not have any pre-made packages so you have completely freedom in choosing exactly what you want for your wedding day.

What are some of the best compliments you've received from your clients?

That not only do I create great photographs, but that I was the most organized/experienced/stress relieving vendor out of everyone they hired. I loved hearing that I make the clients feel like they’re not alone and that they literally have someone helping them guide their entire day on top of getting amazing pictures and all of their memories captured beautifully!
