It gives us great pleasure to feature Barbara Gomez from the Balmoral Event Center.

When people ask “what do you do” how do you answer?

Simply put, I love to take the client’s vision and turn it into a reality. By building customized events from the ground up, I aim to ensure that each event not only meets the client’s specific needs but exceeds their overall expectations. Creating an experience that will be cherished for a lifetime is my job and my number one priority.

What is your favorite thing about what you do? What’s your WHY?

I have always been passionate about helping people build moments and memories that last a lifetime. 

What motivates you to do this every day?

I’ve been an entertainer myself since I was 10 years old, so I know the importance of every detail. I love planning events as well as creating memories of a lifetime. I have always enjoyed putting a smile on everyone’s face.

What is the best compliment you have received from your clients?

I have been told that “This has turned out to be much more than I have ever dreamed of’.

What fun fact would people be surprised to learn about you?

I was a Dolly Parton impersonator for many years. I have grown up in Entertainment and it is in my heart and soul.

What is your favorite wedding tradition?

That’s an easy one. Nothing gives me chills more than that moment when the couple sees each other for the first time on their wedding day. While everyone else is turned, looking down the aisle, I am ALWAYS looking at the alter. To me, that is the purest site of true love and emotion.

How do you spend your time away from work?

I love spending time at home with my husband and my grandkids.  I love spending time with my family just relaxing.

How did they come up with the name of your venue?

Balmoral Event Center, located within Balmoral Resort Florida, is a nod to Balmoral Castle. The castle is a large estate house in Royal Deeside, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, owned by Queen Elizabeth II.

What is your best piece of advice for someone who just recently got engaged?

Don’t stress over the little details, we can help you through it. This is a time to enjoy your engagement and look forward to spending the rest of your days with the love of your life by your side.

What current trends have you seen at weddings that you personally like the most?

I am obsessed with all things greenery in the garden which adds so much beauty to the window room.
