Hiring the right wedding venue is so important on your wedding day. The venue is the backdrop of every moment, every picture, and every memory.
It gives us great pleasure to introduce this week’s venue spotlight, Kelly Seeber of Harmony Haven Events, LLC.
When people ask “what do you do?” how do you answer?
I do what I love! I worked a job for 21 years…now I get to live the dream!
When and how did you get into the wedding industry?
By the grace of God. He knew I needed a life-changing move and He provided a flawless transition.
What is your favorite thing about what you do? What’s your WHY?
I love to see people HAPPY. Being in the event industry I get to see people gathering and celebrating. Whether we are hosting a wedding, baby shower, Sweet 16, graduation party, etc…we are witness to their happiness and celebration!
What is the best compliment you’ve received from your clients?
I love when brides tell me that their wedding day was stress-free. By taking on the coordinating role and seeing that all of the details are taken care of is what takes the stresses off of the bride.
What is your favorite wedding tradition?
I love to watch Daddys with their daughters. When he catches the first look of his baby girl in her wedding dress, it is priceless. Such an emotional moment…ugh…gets me every time!
What is your favorite wedding color combination?
Teal, Hot Pink, and Orange…I’m a sucker for Spring and Summer pallets.
What is important for clients to know about your venue before they book you?
The front of our building is what guests obviously see first, but remember, looks can be deceiving. Instead of a warehouse feel, our visitors are always pleasantly surprised by our white-washed interior as well as our 2 acres, maturely landscaped backyard.
What types of events do you specialize in?
We open our doors and welcome all types of events. Weddings, baby showers, milestone birthday parties, graduation parties, school banquets, corporate gatherings…just to mention a few.
What is one of the features of why couples choose your venue?
Couples tend to LOVE the laid-back atmosphere that we provide all while creating an elegant wedding day.
What does your most popular package include?
We offer three different coordination packages. Our most popular is what we call our “Squeeze the Day” package. This includes set-up, decor, event management, tear down, and clean-up.
What is the most unique service/product that you offer?
I love that our venue is a blank slate. Brides can turn our spaces into their own vision by using a variety of different vendors. We have a prop closet that brides or anyone who is planning an event can use. Event decorations can be pricey, but if our prop items fit our client’s vision, they can use them, free of charge.
What is your best piece of advice for someone that recently got engaged?
Relax! Everything will fall into place. The last thing you want to do is to stress yourself to the max.
What is your best piece of advice to reduce stress in the planning process?
Hire a coordinator! This, hands down will help to make your special day go smoothly.
What’s a tip for couples as they navigate the planning process?
Divide and conquer. Compile a to-do list and decide who is comfortable doing what. Again, if you are working with a coordinator, he/she will guide you through the process.
