It gives us great pleasure to introduce this week’s venue spotlight, Amanda Borrero of For the Love of Events.
What’s the best part of your job?
The best part of our job is seeing and hearing the couple say “I Do!” We are super lovers of genuine love, and seeing this moment shared at each wedding not only makes us cry with joy but reminds why we love what we do!
Tell us about your most memorable event so far and why it was.
We feel like all of our events have a special place in our hearts, especially our weddings because of how much love is involved!
To date, one of the most memorable events we’ve been a part of was the October 2018 Luncheon! This was E P I C and it definitely took us out of our comfort zone when it came time to design! It was a pleasure to bring on different vendors to create and bring to life the Hocus Pocus-themed vision Bri and Jessica (Wedding Sales Managers at Mission Inn Resort) had in mind! From the lighted cocktail tables, live champagne bar, and the smoky entrance, to our special guest (none other than Winifred herself!), it was an event to remember.
All the effort and love that was put into this luncheon resulted in having it as the winner of the Best Luncheon Award at the 2018 Vendy’s Awards! Unforgettable.
What is the best compliment you’ve received from your clients?
One of our favorite compliments of all time was from one of our sweet destination brides. She trusted us to plan her wedding from afar and truly bring her vision to life. She said that we made her Pinterest dream a reality and that is one of the greatest achievements!
What is the most unique service/product you offer?
One of the most unique services we offer besides our planning services are all-inclusive packages!
We specialize in creating a wedding day based on the needs of our destination brides and implementing them at some of our favorite venues. These packages are great for the brides that are wanting an intimate ceremony with a small reception afterward. We love to meet couples that want a low-key wedding but still want to party. We can make that happen!

What do you think are the biggest misconceptions that people have about your vendor category?
Many people think that they do not need a planner because they can plan their wedding on their own (which is definitely doable!). Although, once the wedding day is here, who will act as the point of contact so that your vendors arrive on time while you and your girls are getting hair and makeup done? Or ensure your photographer and vendors are ready at all times for the key moments during the reception?
We want to be there for you to remain stress-free as well as your family on your special day! Not only do we plan weddings, but we orchestrate your day to go just as you imagined!
Name three unique venues that you enjoy working at and why.
Paddlefish at Disney Springs – This is not your typical restaurant for a reception; you can actually hold your ceremony on the top bow of this immense boat, with Disney as your background! We love it so much because it is a secluded venue that takes care of intimate destination weddings right at the heart of Disney. With our all-inclusive packages we have for Paddlefish, we make it easy for brides to get everything they need plus epic photos to take home with them! The event managers are brilliant and such a breeze to work with – and the food is divine!
Magnolia House at Trilogy – If you are looking for a wedding filled with greenery, look no further! Magnolia House has so many picturesque spots on their property, you and your photographer will have nonstop fun capturing moments by the natural hedge halls, in the middle of palm trees near the ceremony location, and on the lawn. While everything is gorgeous outside, their ballroom space and multi-purpose rooms are exquisite! The venue is lit up with natural light through the halls, leading to the main event space where the party is held. With room for 250 guests, a dance floor AND a stage, you will be partying all. night. long!
Mystical Winds Gathering Place – Talk about a private venue! This barn sits on over 30 acres of land in the quiet hills of Clermont. Working out in Mystical Winds is always a great time. Elphia, the venue owner, is a joy to be around and caters to her couples as they were her own. They truly know how to make everyone feel special and ensure that family is the most important factor on the wedding day. With so much land, couples have the option to choose where they would like to hold their ceremony, whether it be in front of the barn, out in the field with one of their arches, or by their lake. Their reception space comes ready with tables and benches for over 200 guests, a super neat bar area, and wood stained pinwheel tables that can be used for desserts, guest book prop, or a fun photo station. This venue loves a DIY bride and they are ready to help!

“Where do I start? My wedding planner was absolutely amazing! She was extremely attentive to everything I wanted and requested, was super organized, and made me feel completely at peace by helping me tick off everything on my wedding to-do list. One thing that I appreciate most about Amanda is her resourcefulness. I had a certain vision for my wedding. I wanted a garden rustic barn wedding with everything that I saved to my Pinterest wedding vision board…but on a budget! I soon realized after speaking with a floral vendor, that I couldn’t afford all the greenery that I wanted. I had to scratch the table cloths as well as a few other things. By the end of it, I didn’t think I could pull off a beautiful barn wedding. I was worried that my wedding would be simple and my guests would be underwhelmed by the decor. I had beautiful candles floating in water, gold glistening runners, beautiful copper chargers, small candles in small copper cups illuminating the tables, and GREENERY!!! (Being resourceful, Amanda used greenery from another wedding she planned. The couple was going to throw them out but she REMEMBERED ME and my dream and used them for my wedding.) The TABLES WERE GORGEOUS! My wedding guests kept raving about the decor and asked me how I pulled it off. I smiled and said one word, “Amanda.” Her assistant, April, was so patient and so helpful, too. I needed a car to take me to my wedding ceremony site and the assistant volunteered her car. And when I felt bad for keeping my guests waiting an hour (hair drama), she kept reassuring me that everything was ok, that the day would still be a great day (which it was), and that no one was going anywhere.
