It’s Spotlight Day, where we introduce you to incredible Orlando wedding vendors and share the stories behind these companies who help Wedding Venue Map couples have their best wedding day.
Hiring the right wedding vendors is so important on your wedding day. The wedding planner helps turn your vision into reality.
It gives us great pleasure to introduce this week’s vendor spotlight, Beth McIntyre of Your Favorite Day.
When people ask “what do you do?” how do you answer?
We help couples fully realize their wedding day vision. Our unique process allows couples to plan their own wedding with an experienced and educated professional in their corner. On the wedding day, we make sure that every detail is taken care of, so couples can relax and enjoy their time with friends and family.
What did you do before you did this?
Event Management for VIP and corporate events.
When and how did you get into the wedding industry?
A secret love for weddings and the desire for a flexible work schedule led me to start my own wedding planning company. The skills and tools I learned from planning corporate events translate very well to weddings. The concepts are the same. Imagine your wedding handled with the same care as a large-scale special event, grand opening, or product launch…the experience for the couple is elevated.
What is the best compliment you’ve received from your clients?
The best compliment I receive after initial consultations is “I’m ALREADY less stressed.” That’s a sign we are meant to work together!
How did you decide on the name of your company?
It was important that our name reflects the focus of our work…YOU. For us, it’s not about creating the most revolutionary or modern wedding design. It’s guiding couples to the best version of their unique and authentic vision. We played around with words like BEST, SPECIAL, and PERFECT but ultimately decided on FAVORITE because it illustrates the feeling we want our couples to have.
What is important for clients to know about your company before they book you?
Some clients will contact us for day-of services insisting they “don’t need” all the inclusions with our package. We require a certain level of involvement with each event we take on. We know all the elements it takes to make a wedding day run smoothly and how much prep work is required. We choose not to offer a lesser package for this reason.
What types of events do you specialize in?
We specialize in day-of coordination…which really isn’t a thing. At a minimum, it is month-of coordination, meaning we become highly involved with the process approximately a month before the wedding. Our refined process allows us to advise and guide the couple from engagement through wedding day (customized online portal, planning tools, exclusive discounts). We consider this the icing on the cake of our main service which is “Day-Of” Coordination.
Tell us about your favorite type of engaged couple.
Our favorite engaged couple has a lot of ideas for their wedding. They have a vision but will appreciate a knowledgeable wedding industry professional on their team. They fully embrace the tools we provide them along the way and like to be involved in the wedding planning. When it comes to their actual wedding day, they want to unplug, relax, and enjoy!
What is your best piece of advice for brides or grooms?
Advice for bride and grooms: The moment you decide to host a wedding, you are an event planner. But wait, you AREN’T an event planner…just like you aren’t a florist, a cake baker, a caterer, or a professional photographer. Even though it is “your day,” you still have a responsibility to your guests. Hire wedding professionals. Real ones. With certifications, reviews, and insurance.
Let the day be a beautiful reflection of YOU as a couple brought together by a competent wedding industry professionals.
Name three unique venues that you enjoy working at and why.
As a wedding planner, I LOVE venues where ceremony and reception are in one location with super comfortable guest flow. So many great wedding venues in Central Florida are designed this way, but a few come to mind…
Lake Mary Event Center – Talk about the best of both worlds! Their rotunda has floor-to-ceiling windows that bring the beauty of the outside indoors. Did I mention indoors? Selfishly, I like this venue because inclement weather is less of a concern. You can still take the couple photos down by the lake at sunset and host your cocktail reception outside for a little fresh air. I believe they also require the couple to hire a day-of coordinator and I am always willing!
Royal Crest Room – Big fan of this guest flow and loads of inclusions with your rental price. They just updated their reception room with dark hardwood floors and their cocktail hour space includes market lights. You also receive upgraded chairs and chargers! I like to see so many upgrades included for our couples so they can spend their budget on fun enhancements and really amazing vendors!
Mission Inn Resort – This location takes inclusive to a whole new level. Make your wedding a destination vacation for all your friends and family! With accommodations, restaurants, golf, spa, and pool to name a few, your guests will be having a blast before they ever get to your wedding, The ceremony locations are gorgeous too and they also offer unique locations for rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, and farewell brunches!
What some of their previous couples had to say….
“Beth was an absolute godsend! There are no two ways around it. We were in contact starting about a month and a half before my wedding, and she was our day-of coordinator. One of my favorite things about Beth was that she was understanding about how much I wanted to be involved in planning my wedding, and I feel like we really worked as a team to accomplish everything. On the day of the wedding, she handled absolutely everything and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. She has the most comforting personality so she was always very calming and there were never times where I felt her presence was stressful or overbearing. I couldn’t have asked for a greater day-of coordinator, and I would 100% recommend her to any bride!” – Rachel, Mission Inn Resort
“Hands-down recommend Beth to be your wedding coordinator!! She is absolutely AMAZING. From the first day we met until the last minute of our wedding day, she was available to me, she was professional, always smiling, and made our day STRESS-FREE! Beth always showed up early to all of the meetings, is extremely detail-oriented, and a great listener. She not only remembered all of my requests/wishes but also made sure the groom was also happy with his few requests. 🙂 We both loved having Beth be part of our favorite day. You won’t regret it! Hands-down recommend!! A+ rating for sure.” – Diana, Rosen Plaza Hotel
“Where to start? There is so much I could say about this wonderful business but let me just begin with, booking Your Favorite Day as your day-of coordinator will be one of the best decisions you will make in your wedding planning process. Coming from an event manager myself, Your Favorite Day will take all your worries away. My day-of coordinator was the impressive and amazing Beth McIntyre. I reached out to Beth a few months after getting engaged, knowing I was looking for just a day-of coordinator because I had been planning all the other details myself. I knew I wanted a day-of coordinator to not only help keep things in order but also relieve my family, friends, and self from any day-of tasks and stress. Well, Beth did just that and more. At our first meeting, she came prepared with a detailed questionnaire. Needless to say, I was impressed, but it didn’t stop there. Beth presented me with a list of tasks that she would be taking the reigns on a few weeks before my actual wedding date. When agreeing to meet with Beth, little did I know that she not only handles the day-of coordination but steps in four weeks prior to handle all vendor communication, final meetings, and rehearsal. Right then and there, I knew I had made the best decision. The next few months went by; every so often, Beth would touch base just to make sure things were going well, which was unexpected, especially from a day-of coordinator. Once we go to the month before, that’s when Beth went full gear. We had our first final touch base meetings and from there she took the reigns. I have never felt such calm during the whole planning process. Beth reached out to vendors, handled final contract pieces and was there for anything I needed during those last few weeks, my “Control Freak” side was finally able to relax. I mean, do I even need to go into the rehearsal or day-of? Everything was perfect. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to hire as my day-of coordinator. Beth was attentive to my needs, and put my husband and I first even when the family came into play. All around, I would highly recommend her for being part of your special day, it’ll be one of the best decisions you will make as a bride-to-be.” – Amber, Royal Crest Room
