Hi! I’m Evan Hampton and I believe I will increase the amount of positivity in the world through the telling of a great visual story. One of the best chapters in someone’s story is their wedding day, and I love to capture it in a creative and imaginative way.
My goal is to help you have fun and give you reassurance that your story is in good hands. I have a graduate degree in Photography from Miami Ad School Atlanta @ Portfolio Center. Since 2008, I’ve photographed weddings from coast to coast, around the world and across the sea. Now it’s your turn!
When I’m not telling someone’s visual story, I call Florida home with my wife, Christina and our sons, Brantley and Beckett.

I mainly just provide award-winning still photography peppered with the occasional sarcastic comment that will hopefully bring you joy for years to come.
Service Area
Though I'm located in Jacksonville, Florida I photograph weddings all over the southeast. I cover Savannah, Orlando, Tampa, Miami, Gainesville, Atlanta. Nowhere is too far for me to go to tell your visual story. There is a travel fee associated with any wedding over 150 miles away. I'm happy to give more info on that.
Pricing
I have three standard packages everyone selects from. Each one includes an engagement session and two photographers. Each chapter offers more coverage time and perks than the chapter before it. Chapter One is $3,495. Chapter Two is $4,995. Chapter Three is $6,495. If you're looking for a Disney Wedding or a Destination Wedding those are $2,495 + Travel, and I can happily price quote those for you. Evan was a wonderful photographer with a great sense of humor that made both our engagement (which he traveled to NYC to take) and wedding photo sessions a great memory in themselves. The photos were edited beautifully and his prices were very fair. I can\'t recommend him enough.
My husband and I got married in July 2019 and Evan photographed our wedding as well as our engagement session before. I would highly recommend his services! He is very professional and knows a lot of the best shots to take in every location. He is relaxed and funny, we had a great time working with him and getting to know him. I love how each photo turned out. He captured all the important moments of my wedding and lots of the details as well, as I was too busy to remember them!! He is a wonderful photographer and cares about making sure you’re happy and have all the pictures you want.
Evan did our Engagement photo session at Disney!!! He was easy to work with, and extremely responsive. He gave us ideas on locations and shots. I can’t say enough about our session. He made sure my fiancé and I were having fun with the session. Our pictures turned out fabulous. We will always cherish them. By the end of our day with Evan, we felt like family. We will be using him again in the future!

Booking with Evan Hampton Photography was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! Right from the start, Evan\'s fun personality made us feel comfortable at our engagement session. We truly felt like we were hanging out with a friend and had a blast taking the photos which turned out wonderful. At our wedding, Evan continued to go above and beyond, capturing every important moment and coming up with a variety of poses and styles to give us the perfect images and memories. One special memory I have of working with Evan was how he really helped with pre-wedding stressors. Moments before our ceremony began, it began to rain on our outdoor wedding (risks of a Florida wedding). While I was stressed and admittedly shedding a few tears, Evan instantly started cheering me and my bridesmaids up with his awesome energy and jokes. My bridal photos came out perfect and my day was off to a great start. Thank you Evan for the wonderful job you did!
If I could give more than 5 stars for Evan Hampton Photography I would! I was an out of town bride and was nervous about picking the right vendors. From the moment I met Evan, I knew he was exactly who we needed for our wedding! From the start of the day-we all felt immediately at ease with him and his second shooter. He made us laugh, directed us easily and managed to get every shot done in the time allotted without feeling rushed! And the best part was getting our photos back! We loved single one of them and because he made us feel so relaxed-we look more relaxed. Plus on top of that he captured so many amazing candid shots at our reception!! I can’t thank him enough!

Evan was such a pleasure to work with. My husband and I had our engagement and wedding photos done by Evan and they turned out beautifully. My husband hates taking photos but Evan found a way to make us both feel very comfortable and kept us laughing throughout our entire session. He is very professional, quick to respond, and had our photos to us promptly.
Evan made the whole process super easy! He was always quick to respond! I have a large family, but Evan made family photos a breeze! My brother and sister-in-law were unable to attend our wedding due to COVID, but Evan captured a photo of my family with them on FaceTime, which I will cherish forever! Evan is an amazing photographer! Evan has a great sense of humor and made us feel comfortable taking photos. The engagement photos session was a nice warm up for the wedding photos. He taught us how to pose, he brought lighting, and took shots from unique angles. We had so much fun! The wedding photos are stunning! Our families and friends are amazed by the quality and that so many special moments were captured from our big day. Friends commented that they could be on a magazine cover. Evan really knows how to capture fantastic shots. You will get a ton of photos and it will be hard to choose your favorites. Evan designed our wedding album too and it is amazing! We love looking back on our special day.
Evan is a fantastic photographer! I wouldn\'t choose another photographer to capture one of my biggest moments in life. His photos are beautiful! He has amazing energy and keeps you laughing throughout the day. He even made sure we capture all the different photos I wanted and got my family to cooperate after the ceremony. I would choose Evan if I had to do it over again (and I can\'t say that about all of my vendors!).

Evan is absolutely wonderful. He is easy going, responsive, super respectful, positive, energetic and has got a great sense of humor which made us laugh the whole time and which also made my husband and I feel very comfortable and have fun during the photoshoot. My husband and I worked with Evan for our Engagement and Wedding photos. We had a phenomenal experience working with him. Originally slated to get married in 2020, we postponed several times until April 2021 and Evan worked with us through each step without complaint. On the actual day he was there, on time and even got a few extra shots that we did not think we would have time for. The photos are AMAZING! I look at them daily to help re-live one of the best days of my life. When he says he is a visual story teller, he truly is and he will be sure to capture your wedding and make it your own fairy tale.

About
What makes you or your business stand out and why should a couple hire you?
I've been capturing authentic love stories in front of the camera since 2008 and always push myself to try and do something different with each couple. What's important is that your love story is being told in the photo. I truly enjoy what I do and consider it an honor to capture your wedding. The importance of what I do isn't just to satisfy you and hang a photo on your wall. It's generational. These photos need to hang on the walls in the homes of your children, and their children. These aren't just photos that tell any old story. They tell your story!
What's a fun or unusual fact about you or your company?
An unusual fact about me is I never learned how to swim, yet I live in a state with water all around us and photograph countless weddings at the beach or on a cruise. I also never wanted to photograph weddings when I first started. My degree covers mainly commercial photography, but once I started doing weddings for college friends I was hooked!
How did you get started as a wedding pro?
Some friends from college asked me to do their wedding, but I was cautious. I did it anyway, then did several more friend's weddings, and then their friends. It just turned into this giant snowball that's been rolling down the hill over 15 years and I'm loving the ride along the way!
Share a piece of advice to reduce stress in the wedding planning process.
Don't feel rushed. Your wedding day goes by so quick. Try not to go from one moment to the next without pausing to appreciate each person who came, each person who helped make it happen, and do your best to absorb it all in. Before you know it you'll be doing the last dance and wondering where the day went.
What's your favorite wedding tradition and why?
I love not letting the groom see the bride until the moment she comes down the aisle, because his reaction is so raw and in front of everyone. That being said, as a photographer I love just as much doing the first look because then it also helps you knock out a whole bunch of photos before the ceremony. That whole decision is a personal choice and you can't go wrong either way.
Tell us more about the couples you usually get the pleasure of working with.
The couples who work with me truly become friends. One of my couples we became close, her husband and kids go with us to Disney World a lot. I don't see the day as a transaction to get paid and go home. I invest my time in telling your story and doing my best to make you be comfortable in front of the camera and have a good time! I'm a very sarcastic and relaxed person who wants you to feel cool and confident. We have a fun time!
What are some of the best compliments you've received from your clients?
Something I hear a lot from guests is how well I did getting the shot without being in the way or being a distraction. I tell people I'm like a ninja or vapor in the air. Some of the best compliments I get are families who later tell me that a photo I captured is the last photo they have of someone they love. Things like that are why I love doing what I do because you never know when your last photo will be and how important it'll be to someone else. I really take that to heart.
