Hi! Pleased to meet you, and congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I can’t wait to hear about how you envision your ceremony. Traditional, modern, simple, complex, secular, spiritual, or perhaps some of each? Yes! Thinking about a themed ceremony or unity ritual? Rock-n-roll, Star Wars, Disney, yoga, The possibilities are endless!

Planning a wedding is big stuff, and my focus is to make your ceremony a joyful experience. I have lots of information to share. Often, just having a sense of what’s possible, along with what needs to happen before, during ,and after your ceremony, is very helpful.

FreeBird Ceremonies is non-denominational and affirms all philosophies and lifestyles: LGBTQIA+, multi-cultural, interfaith, blended families, secular, spiritual. Themes, kids, and pets are always welcome. FreeBird Ceremonies is a woman-owned business that celebrates love!

Together, we will create a ceremony that is true to your vision and what shines in your heart. A ceremony that will respect and reflect your values and beliefs. On wedding day, I will deliver your ceremony with warmth, inclusion, the highest standards of professionalism, and a loving vibe all around. Your guests will feel like they are part of your celebration.

Already legally married? Great! Notary services are discounted from the regular price. Pricing: Sunbeam Ceremony - Most Popular Package - Average spent $350 Celebrant Ceremony - One-of-a-kind experience. Individual questionnaires for you and your fiancé. Every element of your ceremony has your responses skillfully woven throughout. Plus, as many edits as you desire up to 72 hours prior to ceremony. $599 Every ceremony includes unlimited conversation. The more you tell me about you and your ceremony, the more I know exactly what you want and don't want! Every ceremony includes notarization of your license and hand delivery of your license to the post office to be sent Certified Mail. I snap a picture of the receipt and send it to you, so you have a record of delivery. *Travel applies to a venue that is more than 30 miles and/or 1 hour drive time from Orlando, FL.

As a Wedding Planner, it was great getting to work with a professional Officiant! Jennie was so kind and calming which is just what a couple needs for their ceremony. The ceremony was so beautiful due to her professionalism and personalization of their program. She also took care of the marriage license and made sure it was all taken care of so the couple did not have to worry about it one bit. If you are looking to hire an officiant Jennie is a great choice!

We were so fortunate to have Jennie officiate our wedding! From our initial meeting over facetime we knew we had found the perfect officiant. Jennie was very thorough and informative in her calls with us leading up to the ceremony. She took a lot of care to make our ceremony special to us. Our wedding was a bit unconventional and Jennie was very accommodating and considerate. She wrote an amazing ceremony for us that was beautiful and sentimental. She even printed out our vows on special paper so that we had one less thing to worry about on our big day. We couldn\'t have asked for a more perfect ceremony and we highly recommend Jennie if you\'re getting hitched!

What makes you or your business stand out and why should a couple hire you?

Couples and guests say that Jennie has a beautiful speaking voince and a calming, joyous presence. Jennie strives to ensure that your ceremony photos are as uncluttered as they can be, so it's just you and your loved ones in the pictures. No mic stand to hold her microphone, No music stand to hold her book. And when it's time for that kiss, she's outta the way! A believer in formal education, Jennie holds double certification from The Celebrant Foundation and Institute as a Life Cycle Celebrant and Wedding Officiant.

What's a fun or unusual fact about you or your company?

Yes! FreeBird comes from the song. It was my anthem growing up on Long Island, NY. I also play electric violin and have four yoga teacher certifications.

How did you get started as a wedding pro?

A background in theatrical production enables me to see the whole picture of an event, and to understand how your ceremony is orchestrated with the people and pieces that must come together to create a natural and seamless experience. FreeBird Ceremonies flew in 2016 when I combined the best parts of my theatre work, and connected them to my passion for cherishing life events with personalized ceremonies.

Share a piece of advice to reduce stress in the wedding planning process.

Spend money on a coordinator. They will enable you to enjoy your wedding day!

What's your favorite wedding tradition and why?

I love handfastings! Handfasting is a beautiful way to enhance your wedding vows and also create a memento of your ceremony. Ribbons, cords, tartans, scarves – the possibilities of material are endless, and the symbolism of the chosen colors will make the ritual uniquely yours. My favorite type of handfasting has the couple creating the knot, rather than the officiant. And then the newlyweds have a one-of-a-kind memento of the ceremony that will last a lifetime.

Tell us more about the couples you usually get the pleasure of working with.

Every couple is welcome! I have created and performed ceremonies for couples ranging from 19-79 years old, in all walks of life and love, all pronouns, at every stage of their life journey.
