Frequently Asked Questions

What should couples know before their first consultation with you?

Come ready to have fun and keep an open mind! We love when brides come with inspiration photos, but don’t be afraid to try something outside your comfort zone — some of our brides have fallen in love with gowns they never expected. Bring your must-have people, but keep the group small so the experience stays intimate and stress-free.

How would you describe your style or approach?

We lead with heart and knowledge of the industry. From the moment you walk in, our goal is to make you feel like you’re shopping with a friend who just happens to know everything about bridal fashion, fabrics, and styles. We listen first, style second – because the perfect gown starts with understanding you.

What does the process of working with you look like?

It starts with booking your appointment – and from there, we take care of everything. Your stylist will sit down with you, get to know your vision, your venue, and your vibe, then hand-pick gowns just for you. You’ll try on, fall in love, and leave feeling like the bride you’ve always imagined.

How far in advance do you recommend couples book their services?

We recommend booking your bridal appointment at least 9–12 months before your wedding date. This gives us enough time to order your gown, you to schedule fittings, and you handle any alterations without the stress of rushing. That said, we also carry off-the-rack gowns for brides who are working with a shorter timeline – so don’t count us out if your date is coming up fast!

What is included in your most popular packages?

Our most popular package is The Glam Experience – a 2.5-hour private bridal appointment for you and up to 6 guests that includes a luxury bridal welcome bag, a bottle of Prosecco with orange juice for mimosas, champagne flutes, a $35 veil credit, a personalized welcome sign with your future last name, and exclusive use of our private bridal suite. All for just $125. If you really want to go all out, The Ultimate Yes Experience is our most luxurious option — a 4-hour private appointment complete with an unlimited mimosa and champagne bar, a curated non-alcoholic drink menu, a charcuterie board, a sweet treat tray, a confetti canon pop, an exclusive G. Marie’s Bride t-shirt, a decorated bridal suite styled to your wedding aesthetic, and $100 toward your dress plus $50 toward your veil. All for $399. And if you just want to keep it sweet and simple, The Bubbly Bride Experience is a 2-hour appointment with a complimentary bridal bag and a bottle of champagne for just $50.

Do you offer customizable packages or à la carte options?

Yes! We offer both. You can choose from our curated experience packages – The Bubbly Bride, The Glam Experience, and The Ultimate Yes Experience – or mix and match with our à la carte add-ons like a mimosa bar, a local Central Florida wine tasting, or even a live harpist playing during your appointment. We want your experience to feel completely your own, so whether you want simple and sweet or full-on celebration mode, we’ve got you covered.

Do you have experience with different cultural or religious wedding traditions?

At G. Marie’s, we welcome brides from all backgrounds and cultural traditions with open arms. While our current collection is curated around traditional bridal and formal styles, we’re always happy to work with you to find something that honors your heritage and makes you feel beautiful on your big day.

What is one thing couples often forget to ask but should?

Don’t forget to ask about our appointment add-on experiences! Most brides don’t realize they can turn their dress shopping into a full celebration – think champagne, charcuterie, a live harpist, and a bridal suite decorated to match their wedding aesthetic. Finding your dream dress is already a milestone moment, so why not make the whole experience unforgettable?

What current trends have you seen at weddings?

We’re seeing brides really lean into statement veils right now – think bold lengths, dramatic cathedral styles, and veils with lace trim, floral appliqués, and even pearls. It’s one of the easiest ways to take a gown from beautiful to absolutely breathtaking. Beyond veils, we’re loving the shift toward more personalized, intimate wedding vibes – brides who want their day to feel like them, not just a Pinterest board. Boho chic is still going strong, but we’re also seeing a gorgeous comeback of classic romance and sleek, minimalist silhouettes. Whatever the trend, the brides who stand out most are the ones who wear what makes them feel like the best version of themselves – and that’s always in style.

A Little About Us

What makes your business stand out, and why should couples choose you?

Because we actually care, and you’ll feel that the second you walk in. We’re not here to put you in a dress and ring you up. We’re here to make one of the biggest moments of your life feel exactly as special as you imagined it. We’ve been doing this since 2013, and our favorite part of the job has never changed – hat moment when a bride looks in the mirror and just knows.

What is a fun or unusual fact about you or your company?

We don’t just sell gowns, we throw a party while you find one. Where else can you sip mimosas, snack on a charcuterie board, have a live harpist playing in the background, and pop a confetti cannon the moment you say yes to your dress? We turned bridal shopping into an experience you’ll be talking about long after you’ve walked down the aisle.

How did you get started in the wedding industry?

What started as a passion for prom and pageant in Georgia back in 2013 turned into so much more than we ever imagined. Brides kept falling in love with the same personalized, warm experience we were known for – and honestly, we fell in love with them right back. By 2021, we opened our very first bridal store, and we haven’t looked back since. What began as a dream has grown into a decade-long love story of its own.

What is your best advice for reducing wedding planning stress?

Start with your dress earlier than you think you need to. Seriously, it’s the one thing most brides wish they had more time for. Give yourself at least 9-12 months so you’re not rushing alterations or stressing over delivery timelines. Beyond that, don’t try to make everyone happy. This is your day. Come into your appointment with an open mind, bring only your most trusted people, and trust the process. The right dress has a way of finding you when you’re not overthinking it – and we’ll be right there when it does.

What is your favorite part of working with couples on their wedding day?

Honestly? THAT moment. You know the one. When a bride steps out of the fitting room, looks in the mirror, and everything just goes quiet for a second. Sometimes there are tears, sometimes there’s screaming, sometimes it’s just this big, beautiful smile that says everything without a single word. After over a decade of doing this, that moment never gets old. It’s why we show up every single day, and it’s why we put so much love into every single appointment. We get to be a small part of one of the biggest days of someone’s life.

What is your favorite part of the wedding day?

That moment the bride walks in wearing her gown for the first time in front of everyone who loves her most. Every detail of the day comes together in that one second. And knowing we played a small part in making her feel absolutely stunning in that moment means so much to us.

Tell us about the couples you love working with.

We love working with brides who are ready to have fun with it. The ones who come in with inspiration but are open to being surprised. The ones who bring their mom, their best friend, or their whole squad and turn the appointment into a memory. We love the bride who has dreamed about this moment her whole life and the bride who has no idea where to start, because we’re here for both. Honestly, our favorite couples are the ones who trust us, let us do what we love, and leave with not just a gown but a story they’ll be telling for years.

What are some of the best compliments you have received from couples?

This one’s best answered by your real reviews! This was without a doubt, the best experience I’ve ever had in a Bridal shop…or any shop for that matter! What wonderful women who helped me with EVERYTHING from my dress, to my shawl, to referring me to seamstress for alterations, to my husband’s suit and all accessories! And we’re not done yet! Jessica and Kennedy are so helpful! They have all the connections and whatever you need. And they are more than willing to help! Thank you so much ladies! From the moment I stepped in the store I knew I was going to find my dress here. Jess and Kennedy were absolutely incredible in helping this very overwhelmed bride find her dream dress. When they put the veil on I cried because they listened to exactly what I wanted and needed for my big day. I could not be more appreciative of their kindness and direction. I adore this store and the associates so much. Thank you all for helping me feel and look beautiful. The ladies at G Marie’s were so kind and helpful! They got me in for an appointment after hours around 6pm and worked with me on finding the style of dress I loved. Great atmosphere and reasonable pricing! Would highly recommend.

What is the story behind your business name?

G. Marie’s was born out of love – a mother’s love, to be exact. When Kennedy was born with a rare bladder disorder, her mom Ginger began hosting events to raise money for a costly surgery. Someone donated dresses to help raise money for the cause, and Ginger started selling them. Then more dresses came in. Then more people heard about it. What began as a simple act of generosity snowballed into something nobody saw coming – first a formal consignment shop, then a full on prom boutique, then a full-service formal wear destination, and eventually, a bridal brand that has grown into a well-known name in the formal industry. Today, Ginger still runs the original Georgia location while Kennedy – the little girl at the heart of it all – owns and operates the New Smyrna Beach store. It’s a full-circle family story, built on community, love, and a whole lot of gorgeous gowns.

What do you think makes for a truly memorable wedding?

The moments nobody planned for. The first look that made him cry. The flower girl who decided to cartwheel down the aisle. The song that came on and suddenly everyone was on the dance floor. The details matter – the flowers, the dress, the venue – but the weddings people talk about forever are the ones that felt real, felt fun, and felt like them. Our advice? Don’t get so caught up in perfect that you miss the magic. And make sure you love what you’re wearing, because you’ll be looking at those photos for the rest of your life.

What is one thing people are surprised to learn about you?

That we do so much more than just bridal! Most people find us when they’re searching for a wedding gown, but G. Marie’s has been dressing women for every milestone moment since 2013 – prom, pageant, homecoming, galas, quinceaneras, you name it. We even have a section for the guys. We’re a one-stop shop for anyone who needs to show up and look incredible, and we do it all with the same heart and personal touch that started this whole thing. Oh, and we have a live harpist available for bridal appointments. That one always gets people.
