STEP 1: Consultation This is a fun time to meet up and get to know each other! I'd love to hear how he proposed! Also during this coffee date I find it so helpful to know what you have planned for the day so we can sketch a rough timeline, then I’ll show you my packages and add on’s. Feel free to bring any questions you have! STEP 2: Making it Official After we meet, I'll send you an email with our rough timeline and a link to the proposal. There you can choose your package and add on’s, read and sign the contract and pay your retainer! STEP 3: Your Engagement Session I love discovering what you both enjoy doing in your free time. Based on that, I can recommend some great locations for your engagement session that will showcase your true personalities! This session usually lasts about 1 1/2 hours and is always a lot of fun! STEP 4: Final Meeting Three weeks before the wedding I’ll send you a Details Questionnaire so I am sure to know everything about your day and gather all your photo requests into one spot. After that, we’ll meet one last time to finalize our photo timeline and family shot list. STEP 5: The Wedding Day! We'll arrive on your big day while you're getting ready. We’ll capture "details" like your dress and rings, as well as both of you putting the final touches on. I'll be with the girls, and Andrew will be with the guys. We'll either do your First Look or we’ll do bridal and bridesmaids photos separately from groom and groomsmen shots once you're ready. Next, we'll capture the ceremony, followed by family photos, bridal party pictures, and bride and groom portraits (if we haven't done them already). Then it's cocktail hour and time to party! Once we have all the key portraits, Andrew and I will step back and capture candid moments like your personal paparazzi! STEP 6: Sneak Peeks, Gallery & Album Design I love sharing a social media sneak peek 72 hours after the wedding. Within a week, your wedding will also be featured on my blog! If your package includes a physical Storybook Wedding Album, I'll send you the initial design as a slideshow video. Once you’ve viewed the video, I'll provide the link to an online proofer where you can change anything in your album. I’ll also send you another link to your full online gallery where you can download all your images!

Choosing a wedding photographer that is right for you is a huge, and often overwhelming decision. Make sure you not only love their photography style (because of course, THAT'S important)—but that you genuinely connect with them too! A beautiful portfolio is key, but feeling comfortable and at ease with your photographer is just as important. After all, they'll be with you through some of the most special (and emotional!) moments of your day. Think about it, out of all the people you hire for your wedding, besides your planner, you are going to spend 8-10 hours straight with your photographer. On that day, you’ll want someone who is friendly and polite to your mother and your guests and won’t push people out of the way to “just get the job done”. You’ll want someone who is socially aware who knows when to add to the excitement of your day but also knows when to step back and let a moment happen. Lastly, you'll want someone you’re comfortable with, someone whose personality clicks with yours. A wedding can be a very emotional, intimate day and if you’re not comfortable or don’t trust your photographer, it can lead to more tension on the wedding day. On the other hand, if you are very comfortable with your photographer and perhaps have even begun a friendship with them, then you feel comfortable really being yourself and expressing your emotions freely. And let me tell you now, this will make the BEST pictures. So when looking for a wedding photographer, don’t look only at their work, but set aside some time to sit down in person and meet. Chat with them, get to know their personality and ask them as many questions as you want. So if you want great pictures, hire a photographer that you can trust.
