Frequently Asked Questions
What should couples know before their first consultation with you?
Our consultations are relaxed, friendly, and pressure-free. This is a time to share your vision, learn about our photography and videography services, and get all your questions answered. You don’t need to have everything planned — we’ll guide you through the process and help you feel confident about your coverage. Consultations are available in person, via video call, or by phone — whatever works best for you.
How would you describe your style or approach?
Our style is a blend of timeless and candid storytelling. Weddings naturally call for multiple approaches — from traditional family portraits to more creative, artistic couple portraits. That said, about 80% of your wedding day is captured in a candid, photojournalistic style. We focus on real moments as they unfold while keeping things fun and relaxed. We’ll give you the direction you need so you never feel awkward or unsure, but we’re never overbearing. The goal is for you to feel comfortable, present, and fully enjoying your day while we document it beautifully.
What does the process of working with you look like?
We’ve made the entire process easy and stress-free. Booking is simple through our secure online links, with flexible payment options to keep everything convenient. Each couple receives access to a personalized online portal where you can make payments, review details, and complete planning questionnaires. The portal also gives us a streamlined way to communicate and stay organized as your wedding day approaches. Our goal is to make everything smooth, efficient, and enjoyable from start to finish.
How far in advance do you recommend couples book their services?
It really depends on your wedding date. In peak months — especially February, March, April, October, November, and December — we typically see couples booking a year or more in advance to secure their date. That said, we also work with many couples who are planning on a shorter timeline. Whether your wedding is a year away or just a few months out, we do our best to check availability and match you with one of our professional photographers to ensure your day is beautifully captured. The sooner you reach out, the better — but it’s always worth asking!
What is included in your most popular packages?
Our most popular packages include one professional photographer and coverage at one location. All images are lightly edited using our creative, artistic processing to ensure a polished and timeless look. You’ll also receive a private online gallery for easy viewing and sharing, along with a secure download link protected by a personal PIN number — making it simple and convenient to access your wedding memories anytime.
Do you offer customizable packages or à la carte options?
Absolutely. We offer customizable packages and à la carte options so you can build the perfect coverage for your wedding day. Popular add-ons include engagement sessions, photo booth coverage, custom albums, a second photographer (one of our most requested upgrades), and additional shooting locations. During your consultation, we’ll walk through all the options together and tailor everything to match your vision, priorities, and the flow of your day. Your wedding isn’t one-size-fits-all — your photography shouldn’t be either.
What is one thing couples often forget to ask but should?
There are a few key questions every couple should ask before booking their wedding photographer or videographer. First, ask about backup plans and equipment redundancies. A true professional should always have backup cameras, lenses, memory cards, audio equipment, and a contingency plan in place in case of emergencies. You only get one wedding day, so preparation matters. Second, ask about turnaround time. Understanding when you can expect your final wedding gallery or film helps set clear expectations and ensures you’re working with a team that values communication and efficiency. Finally, ask about their approach and interaction style. Do they provide direction and guidance throughout the day? Will they help you feel comfortable in front of the camera? A photographer or videographer should not only capture beautiful moments but also guide you through portraits and timelines with confidence, making the experience enjoyable and stress-free. Choosing the right team isn’t just about beautiful images—it’s about professionalism, preparedness, and the experience you’ll have on your wedding day.
What current trends have you seen at weddings?
Wedding trends are always evolving, but a few stand out right now. One of the biggest trends we’re seeing is the private cake cutting. Instead of making a big announcement and pausing the dance floor, couples are choosing to quietly cut the cake together while the party continues. It keeps the energy high and allows for a more intimate moment without interrupting the celebration. Another major shift is the decline of garter and bouquet tosses. Over the past several years, these traditions have become much less common. In fact, fewer than 10% of weddings we photograph include them today. Many couples prefer to keep the reception flowing without singling guests out. We also saw a strong trend toward private last dances over the past several years — where the couple shares one final song alone after the guests exit. While that’s still happening, we’re starting to see a return to full-on party endings. More couples are choosing to end the night with everyone on the dance floor for one big, high-energy final song. Trends will always change, but these are the ones we’re seeing most often right now. At the end of the day, the best trend is doing what feels authentic to you.
