What makes you or your business stand out and why should a couple hire you?

Our attention to detail and quality of service is what sets us apart from others in the wedding pet care industry. Seeing all of the happy brides and grooms is what we’re most proud of. The joy of making someone else happy is one of the most innately rewarding experiences we can have as humans, I think. We’ve also been recognized as one of the best pet sitters in Tampa by Creative Loafing’s Best Of The Bay three years in a row.; We offer a fun and one-of-a-kind 'Best Day Ever' video of your wedding day, all from your pet's point of view. This is such a fun keepsake that all of our clients say is one of the best parts of their special day!

How did you get started as a wedding pro?

Furry Ventures Pet Care was founded in 2018 when I saw that there wasn’t much help with including pets in weddings. I always dreamed of having my dogs at my wedding but didn’t want to put the responsibility on my friends or family. I want them to enjoy the day with me and not have to worry about leaving the wedding to take care of my dogs. So I quit my day job and wanted to make sure that every bride or groom that wanted to include their pet in their wedding has that option available to them.

What's your favorite wedding tradition and why?

Including your dogs in your wedding. It's not a tradition yet but it should be!

What are some of the best compliments you've received from your clients?

"Wow, he's never this behaved"; "You're the dog whisperer"; "We got the most amazing pictures with our girl"; "It was such piece of mind knowing you were watching our dogs"

What does the process of working with your company look like?

It's simple! We start by sending you our wedding day questionnaire to get a better understanding on how you envision including your dog in your wedding to customize a quote for you. We ask for a 50% deposit to secure your date then the remaining balance is due 60 days before your wedding day. We always offer a meet and greet prior to your wedding so your dog can get to know us and we can answer any other questions you may have. We coordinate with your venue, photographer, and wedding coordinator to make sure we have the accurate schedule for the day to ensure your pets are in the right place at the right time for pictures and the ceremony.

What is included in your most popular packages?

No matter what package we put together for you, they all include:; Pre-wedding complimentary phone consultation; Licensed dog handlers – so your pup will always be in the best of hands; Round trip pet transportation, ensuring they arrive safe before and after your wedding; Coordination with all of your vendors before and during the wedding, especially your photographer. This ensures that your pet(s) is always in the right spot at the right time; Helping them pose for any pictures with a lot of treats and squeaky toys; Black leashes, collars, or harness for wedding day use; Assisting with walking down the aisle in the ceremony; And most importantly- all day love and care!

What is a unique tip you tell your couples that is specific to your vendor category?

Hire professionals to provide pet care during your wedding. You want your guests to celebrate your special day with you. After all, that's why you invited them! You don't want to ask your relatives or friends to leave and take your pet home, or go check on them throughout the day. You've got an eventful and busy day ahead of you, so let us make sure your pets are in the best of hands throughout the day.

What current trends have you seen at weddings?

Including your pets into your ceremony is definitely trendy! Whether as the flower girl, ring bearer, or Dog of Honor, having your pet with you on your special day is something you'll always remember!
