Hello. Caryn Dahm is a live wedding painter servicing all of Florida. Having a watercolor painting created at your wedding is an exciting and wonderful experience! Your guests will enjoy watching the process and seeing the artist’s interpretation of the scene that is unfolding in front of them. Learn more about how I live paint using watercolors at weddings and special events.
As an Italian-American mother of 3, I am passionate about family, friends and food. Many of my art pieces boast fresh fruits, baked goodies and family recipes. Some of my favorite things are gardening, cooking, being on the water and painting. I have a great love for gathering in our warm balmy Florida markets and landscapes!
Art has never left my side (at least not for long). Creating things brought me much joy growing up and still does. I have served professionally as a watercolor artist, designer and illustrator for clients both large and small. I love bringing people refreshment and inspiration with my art. To create things that they can enjoy for generations to come with their families is my goal.
With a background in graphic design and a degree in visual communication from The Ohio State University, merging type and watercolors is the ultimate in beauty to me.
Caryn Dahm hosts an open art studio time year round as well as an annual summer art camp for elementary aged children. I love learning about people’s hopes, histories and unique styles. I enjoy helping people relax and collaborate with me on their creative projects.
Watercolors are my absolute favorite medium. There is just something spectacular about sitting down with that sheet of crisp, white, empty paper and watching it transform into something meaningful. Many times when I paint or design I have had in imagery in my head just waiting its turn to be put on paper. I start by planning edges and values and penciling in my subject matter first. Having the outline out of the way allows me to relax and enjoy the painting and design process more freely.
One of my favorite aspects of watercolor is letting the colors intermingle on the paper within the water yielding surprising and often unexpected results.
Watercolors are also a great medium for artists with children because they lend themselves to being interrupted! Taking those drying breaks in between layers of color truly does yield better, fresher looking results.
My main inspirations comes from things that I love and care about; food, family and marriage. I hope to help make your moments memorable by giving the gift of watercolors! Consider having custom art made at your special event, for invitations, gifts or family recipes. There are just so many wonderful things to make into a painting! Have a look at a few of my collection of culinary art for custom paintings for inspiration.
If you’d like to learn a little more about what you can expect to pay for custom art, you can check out my services page here.

I create live wedding and event paintings made with professional grade watercolors. The paper and paints are of the highest quality. I paint the entire scene as well as offering individual guest portraits as another option. Some packages include thank you notecards made with the art created from that night as well as return address labels and art prints to give as thank you gifts to family.
I'm based in the Orlando area but I travel all over Florida from the East coast to the West. Some of my favorite cities to travel to for weddings include Amelia Island, Jacksonsville, Palm Beach, Naples, Sarasota, Boca Raton and Miami.
Pricing packages range from $1,300 to $2,200. Reach out to Caryn with the specifics of your date and venue for specifics on pricing packages.
