Frequently Asked Questions

What should couples know before their first consultation with you?

Honestly? You don’t need to know anything. Our complimentary consultation call will go over all aspects of your wedding and get an idea of what you like and don’t like. If you haven’t thought of it yet, don’t worry about it. We just want you to be engaged and we’ll handle the rest.

How would you describe your style or approach?

Relaxed and knowledgeable. We go based on your timeline. We get it, planning is not your full time job (it’s ours) so we go around your life style so you can experience a calm and fun planning experience.

What does the process of working with you look like?

We always start with a complimentary consultation call. This way we can get to know you and what you need. Depending on the services you need, we’ll meet with you along the way and plan each step together so you have the support you need the entire way and you get the exact wedding you want.

How far in advance do you recommend couples book their services?

At minimum 1 month prior. For full planning, ideally 18-12 months prior, for Day of Coordination 1-6 months prior.

What is included in your most popular packages?

Our most popular package is our Ribbon Package. With this package we take you from venue to vows with total clarity and care, wrapping every detail into a cohesive, joyful, fully YOU wedding. First we start with an onboarding call to find your priorities, budget, vision, fears and wants. Then we find the venue. After your venue has been secured we delve into a basic wedding plan for style, vendors, and budget. We give you 3 options at a time to keep the decision paralysis at bay, constantly communicating with you as the wedding plans start to fill out. As the day gets closer, we start to manage your guest list, menu, and all the tiny details that make your wedding perfect.

Do you offer customizable packages or à la carte options?

Yes! We can customize each portion of the planning process with our minimum being our Day of Coordination Package (The Ravel). We’ve found that this is the least amount we (and we honestly believe any coordinator) can do and still provide you with a stress-free wedding experience.

Do you have experience with different cultural or religious wedding traditions?

Yes! We’ve planned many different cultural and religious weddings including: Jewish, Catholic, Venezuelan and Nigerian weddings and have even planned a Mandap Ceremony (Unfortunately, we have yet to plan the entire Indian wedding experience but we would be happy to learn the rest if you’ll have us!)

Claire, Jessica and Glenn

We’re Claire, Jessica, and Glenn, the trio of planners and behind-the-scenes magic-makers at Ribbon and Rogue, who turn wild ideas into “that was perfect.” Claire brings design + logistics mastery, Jessica is the calm communication queen, and Glenn builds the impossible. Together, we create weddings that feel like you: intentional, bold, and beautifully rogue.

A Little About Us

What makes your business stand out, and why should couples choose you?

Couples should choose us because we honestly don’t believe in one-size-fits-all weddings. We believe in your wedding. We listen to what you want and create a plan that fits. We’re not here to upsell you or squeeze you into a planning style that doesn’t fit. We meet you where you are and we guide you through the mess until you’re confidently walking down the aisle. We’ve planned hundreds of weddings, styled shoots, celebrations of life, and beautifully weird love stories. And we still get excited about every single one.

What is your best advice for reducing wedding planning stress?

Do you. Don’t worry about what others think of your wedding. And just know, something will probably not go to plan on the wedding day but that’s why you have us. We come in and adjust so that no one notices (except maybe you because you know how it was supposed to go).

What is your favorite part of working with couples on their wedding day?

Getting to know them and their family. Everyone is different and talking with you about your likes, don’t likes, fears and goals are our favorite thing about working weddings.

What are some of the best compliments you have received from couples?

“We had so much fun!” – seriously this one is our favorite compliment we get from multiple couples. “It was the best night of my life” – from a bride that was worried before the wedding day. “You were meant to do this” – from a bride who had her house broken into on her wedding day. “Your a mean planner” – from a bridesmaid who was going against the bride’s wishes

What is the story behind your business name?

Ribbon and Rogue is our promise to our company and couples. Ribbon is our polish which is the structure, the spreadsheets, the elegance, the calm hand on your shoulder. While Rogue is our spirit. Our love of the bold ideas, the unexpected touches, the willingness to throw out the rulebook and build something that feels exactly like you.

What do you think makes for a truly memorable wedding?

When couples choose to do things that are completely them. What we mean by that is to choose how you do your wedding based on what you love to do. Like to travel? Have a destination wedding. Like eating? Build a wedding around food. Like riding bikes? Ride bikes down the aisle. Like to party? Reduce the time for food and rage.
