Nothing is better than a beautifully wrapped package of homemade cookies that they can enjoy in the afterglow of your wedding as they relive all the wonderful memories. So be sure to send your guests home with a thank-you gift they will eat up… literally! Cookie Dessert Tables: Fun, interactive and engaging, what can be more enjoyable than mingling while deciding which cookies to indulge in, or grabbing a convenient and delicious post-dance snack? And don’t forget about our custom tablescape décor for a feast for the eyes as well as the tastebuds!

Pricing

We work with clients of all different budgets and guest list sizes. Our Dessert Table packages start at $6 per person and our Family Style Trays and Thank You Favors start at $4 per person. We also offer full Tablescape Design and Serveware for your Dessert Table in an array of elegant themes for a flat fee of $150.

What makes you or your business stand out and why should a couple hire you?

Special Occasions are FAMILY occasions - Weddings and Engagements, Bridal and Baby Showers, Milestone Birthdays and Anniversaries - family celebrations all. The Cookie Jar Orlando gets families. Because we ARE a family. And we treat your Special Occasion like it is our own family celebration.

What's a fun or unusual fact about you or your company?

Betty, our CEO (that’s Cookie Expert Officer), is an attorney and spent years successfully running her own practice in New York before she finally succumbed to her life-long love of baking cookies and made it her full-time business.

How did you get started as a wedding pro?

There was just that one day it became clear it was time to engage in my passion full-time. I decided to transfer from an attorney in the courtroom to a baker in cookie room and operated a successful artisan gourmet dessert catering business in New York whose specialty was (you guessed it!) cookies. (Bonus lawyer joke: What do you call a friendly, non-arrogant person at a bar association meeting? The caterer!) Our “Cookie Pie” Favors and Cookie Dessert Tables were staples in both the barn venues up and down the Hudson River Valley and the poshest halls in New York City and Westchester County, and our “Foodie Favorites” cookies enjoyed a cult following.

Share a piece of advice to reduce stress in the wedding planning process.

Don’t be afraid to delegate tasks. You’re surrounded by family and friends who love you and would be more than happy to handle some of the heavy lifting. And rely on your vendors’ expertise! You hired us for a reason and we’re more than happy to provide you with guidance and advice and take away as much stress as possible. We want you to have fun and enjoy the journey!

What's your favorite wedding tradition and why?

I’m Italian-American and love the traditions of my heritage - dancing the Tarantella, raising glasses and shouting Cent’Anni! (literally “100 years”, a shorthand for wishing the couple long life and happiness) and passing candied almond “confetti” representing “per l’amaro e il dolce” (for the bitter and the sweet, the Italian version of “for better or worse”). And of course, serving Italian cookies (pistachio biscotti, amaretti and pignoli are my all-time faves) with espresso and sambuca as part of the dessert course!

Tell us more about the couples you usually get the pleasure of working with.

We love working with all couples! Whether the bride is doing most of the legwork, the couple is all-in on deciding every detail together or their friends or family members are part of the “all hands-on-deck" wedding squad, it’s always our pleasure to do our part and bring their unique wedding vision to life!

What are some of the best compliments you've received from your clients?

Besides being told by our clients how delicious our cookies are (we NEVER tire of hearing that), our second favorite compliments are how they love giving favors that are so different than the usual trinkets. Or as one bride told us, “Like most people, I have a corner of my cabinet filled with dust-collecting tchotchkes from other people’s weddings that I don’t have the heart to throw away. I was so happy to find thank you favors I knew would NEVER collect dust. In fact, so many of my guests told me the cookie pies didn’t even make it home before they ate them!”
