Art & History Museums of Maitland (A&H) is a premier Central Florida cultural destination and community gathering place, combining the best of both art and history. A&H is home to four unique museums: the Maitland Historical Museum, the Telephone Museum, the Waterhouse Residence & Carpentry Shop Museum, and the Maitland Art Center (the only National Historic Landmark in greater Orlando). A&H is also home to a variety of art classes and workshops, as well as two artist residency programs.
There are 45 National Historic Landmarks located in the State of Florida, yet only 10 allow you to host a wedding, and many significantly limit access during normal operating hours. We think each couple is as unique as our one-of-a-kind historic venues, and A&H will work directly with you to create the wedding of your dreams.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the average price range for venue rental?
$1,500 – $3,000
What is included in that cost?
Most of our packages only include time on the venue. The time on the venue can be used for event time & photos around campus! If booking an elopement, we can include up to 20 chairs. Receptions in the Germaine Marvel Building include furniture such as 60″ rounds, 6′ banquet tables, cocktail tables & dark mahogany foldable chairs.
Does the venue provide catering and bar service? If so, what is the average cost per person?
We work exclusively with eight different caterers, each offering a variety of menu options to suit preferences and budget. The cost per person for catering typically ranges from $50 to $150, depending on the menu selections and service style.
Is there a minimum for booking?
We require a minimum of 4-hour bookings for all events. For events on Friday or Saturday during our peak season, we require a minimum of a 6-hour booking.
Do you require wedding insurance?
Yes!
Why do couples choose this location?
The unique nature of our gardens and historical architecture. It’s very Florida, yet very one of a kind. Not to mention, the photo opportunity is ample without having to run too far to get to every spot!
What are the top three venue features?
Natural beauty & charm, unique artwork decorating every corner & the lush greenery!
What does a typical wedding day look like?
A typical wedding day runs from 2 PM to 11 PM. The day starts with load-in at 2 PM, when vendors begin bringing in their supplies. Ceremonies usually begin between 4 and 5 PM, depending on whether the renter requires a 2 to 3-hour setup. The event can continue until 10 PM, at which point the noise ordinance requires the sound to be turned off. Load-out takes place from 10 to 11 PM, with all vendors expected to be out by 11 PM.
What other types of events does the venue host?
We host private celebrations such as bridal showers, baby showers, and celebrations of life. We also offer a variety of corporate events, including all-day meetings, fundraisers, and holiday parties.
What gets you most excited about wedding day?
The most exciting part of a wedding day is seeing an idea finally come to life! I love the culmination of all the planning and preparation. It’s always so beautiful to witness the day finally arriving for those who have been eagerly awaiting it. It’s incredibly rewarding!
Tell us about a memorable story from a recent event.
I just booked a baby shower for a couple who got married here right before I started. I remember their gallery fondly as it was one of the first ones I saw in this role. It’s heartwarming to see them continue their family celebrations here at A&H!
Best piece of advice for couples planning a wedding.
Don’t forget the reason for the celebration. At the end of the day, the celebrations are for you & your partner! Try not to get all tied up in the little things. Also, don’t underestimate the importance of a coordinator. They are the behind the scenes angels of event day!
