Orlando Museum of Art
About Orlando Museum of Art
Located in Loch Haven Park minutes from downtown Orlando and Winter Park, the Orlando Museum of Art is a contemporary art museum that doubles as one of the city’s most distinctive wedding venues. Instead of a rented ballroom, couples get real museum galleries, rotating exhibitions, and after-hours access most venues can’t offer.
Couples can reserve the full museum for a one-night, art-filled celebration of up to 175 seated guests (700 standing), moving from a ceremony in the marble Andersen Rotunda to cocktails beneath the Chihuly glass tower in the skylit Council of 101 Grand Gallery to dinner and dancing in the space of their choice. Smaller weddings can book the Rotunda paired with the Grand Gallery for up to 150 guests, or take the celebration outdoors in the open-air City of Orlando Sculpture Plaza, where modern sculpture, palms, and bistro lighting create a finished look with minimal added decor.
Every wedding includes complimentary on-site parking, a full-service kitchen and loading dock for caterers, and a one-year OMA membership for the newlyweds, and full museum rentals add exclusive after-hours gallery access. See the FAQs below for pricing, timing, and policy details.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the average price range for venue rental?
Packages start at $4,000 and go up to $5,700 for a full museum rental with gallery access: Rotunda + Sculpture Plaza $4,000, Rotunda + Council of 101 Grand Gallery $4,300 (up to 150 guests), full museum with gallery access $5,700 (up to 175 seated).
What is included in that cost?
Every package includes exclusive use of the reserved space(s), Chiavari chairs, banquet, round, and cocktail tables, complimentary on-site parking, and access to the full-service kitchen and loading dock for caterers. Wedding rentals include a 5-hour event window, 2 hours of setup, and 1 hour of breakdown; additional hours are available for a fee.
Does the venue provide catering and bar service? If so, what is the average cost per person?
OMA does not provide in-house catering or bar service. Couples select from an approved caterer list in the rental kit, and per-person cost is set by the caterer rather than OMA.
Is there a minimum for booking?
The starting rental cost is $4,000 (Rotunda + Sculpture Plaza package), which serves as the minimum for booking a wedding at OMA.
Do you require wedding insurance?
Yes. The couple, their coordinator, and all on-site vendors are required to carry a day-of Certificate of Insurance naming OMA as additional insured for $1,000,000. We recommend Event Helper for day-of policies.
Why do couples choose this location?
Couples choose OMA for a backdrop unlike a typical ballroom or hotel: marble galleries, a skylit dome, and rotating art exhibitions that need minimal decor and make the space feel different for every event, plus after-hours access most museums don’t offer.
What are the top three venue features?
Exclusive after-hours access to the museum’s galleries; a mix of six indoor and outdoor spaces to fit ceremonies and receptions of any size; no venue curfew or sound ordinance.
What does a typical wedding day look like?
Most couples book the standard five-hour event window, commonly 6 to 11 p.m., with two hours before for setup and one hour after for breakdown (OMA closes to the public at 4 p.m., which is when setup access begins). A typical flow starts with a ceremony in the Rotunda or Sculpture Plaza, moves to cocktails in the Grand Gallery, and ends with dinner and dancing in the space of your choice.
What other types of events does the venue host?
OMA also hosts corporate meetings, private parties, anniversaries, mitzvahs, quinceañeras, and galas.
What gets you most excited about wedding day?
Seeing the long-anticipated day come to life after the many months or years of communication and planning. And of course, the dress!
Tell us about a memorable story from a recent event.
One couple had their own band play a set during their reception. The bride was adorable in her wedding dress, singing and rocking out on her guitar, while the groom, in his ’70s attire, lovingly watched her from behind the drums.
Best piece of advice for couples planning a wedding.
Hire a strong day-of wedding coordinator to manage the day and anticipate and quickly resolve hiccups, so you and your guests can focus on enjoying the magic and celebration of your special day.
