The Colonial at Sunset is surrounded by sprawling oak trees and the pastures of our family land, Sunset Ranch.
We encourage you to leave the hustle + bustle at the gates and stay awhile.

OUR VENUE IS INTENTIONALLY UNIQUE.
We see it far too often—traditional venues flip clients through the door as fast as possible by telling them what time vendors can arrive, how long they can set up for, how long for break down, and boom they’re out and the next wedding is in.

If that’s “traditional” we don’t want any part of that—we thoughtfully designed our venue to be the opposite of that.
To us, that way doesn’t feel genuine for the amount of time, thought, and money that gets put into your wedding day.

We purposefully go out of our way to cater to our couple’s needs so they can spend quality time with their loved ones + make memories that last a lifetime. When you book your wedding with us at our family estate, we want you to truly feel valued, cared for, and appreciated.

A family-owned + operated venue rich in history and love – The Colonial at Sunset was originally built as a private residence by Art + Mary Schrader, known to our family as Pop + Mim. This beautiful 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom home was built over 60 years ago and within these walls, 6 children were raised.

The Colonial has served as a cherished gathering space for high teas, themed parties, family dinners, holidays, and private weddings.

It’s a perfect place to gather with a large living room and open concept floor plan. It also has a pool for you to enjoy and you have the ability to bring in a private chef, a spa service, or any additional services throughout your stay—even for events beyond weddings like a retreat.

The property has been passed down to the family’s third generation and today we open the doors for you and your family to celebrate your life’s most meaningful milestones.

WE HAVE RENOVATED THIS 1960S COLONIAL-INSPIRED HOME AND HAVE TURNED IT INTO A UNIQUE BOUTIQUE EVENT SPACE + STAY, STILL TRADITIONAL IN NATURE WITH A TOUCH OF MODERN FLAIR.
