The Sugar Barn at Flying Osceola Ranch
We are a beautiful, new wedding venue located in Central Florida, south of Orlando.
The Sugar Barn is located on a 45-acre farm, which is also where we grow and harvest our sugar cane; hence the name The Sugar Barn. We have a grand presence here on the ranch, among the “old Florida” landscape giving you and your family a lovely, peaceful space to create memories.
The property is a place of rustic elegance surrounded by beautiful Spanish moss covered oak trees, open fields, lush greenery and multiple ponds. We offer a beautiful outdoor ceremony location, under a canopy of towering oak trees, covered in an abundance of Spanish moss. This features a large deck for your altar and wedding party with jasmine covered wooden fences and large gate doors, for your grand entrance. There are restrooms near the ceremonial area, along with a groomsmen cottage, which is air conditioned and nicely appointed.
The winding bridge crossing the pond, connects the outdoor ceremony site we named ” Wild Orange ” to the courtyard next to The Sugar Barn. This space has market lights and rustic, high top tables with beautiful views for your cocktail hour.
As you enter The Sugar Barn, you will find an array of deep red Montana spruce beams creating dramatic views, accented by the elegant, 8′ crystal chandelier. The barn features 45′ stone fireplace, with a sunken cypress mantle, which is over 2500 years old, from the Suwanee River. This creates the prefect backdrop, to add greenery and candles, for an indoor ceremonial space.
Up the grand staircase, you will find an oversized, elegant bridal suite filled with natural lighting and its own private full bathroom. The balcony outside the suite overlooks the dance floor and features a dining area. This is where you and your bridal party can enjoy a meal or set out food during your day of preparation.
The Sugar Barn is perfectly located equal distance from both Orlando and Tampa Airports, in Lake Wales. There are many other attractions for your guests to visit in the area such as Bok Tower Gardens, Kissimmee State Park, Legoland which is 30 minutes away and we are just over an hour to Disney World. We offer complete accommodation information within 15 minutes of our farm.

Does the venue provide catering and bar service? If so, what is the average cost per person?
We do not provide catering, we have a preferred catering list and do allow outside caterers with proper licensing and Insurance
Is there a minimum for booking?
No minimum, We offer a Micro Wedding package for smaller weddings, which is a great value. This offers the entire venue, with all of the vendors and décor needed, for your wedding. You may also simply rent the venue and add your own vendors.
Do you require wedding insurance?
Yes, as all proper venues do, we require day of event insurance, and can refer you to an agent.

What are the top three venue features?
Our fairytale like ceremonial space, with the majestic oaks covered in Spanish moss, truly feels like a fantasy. The long winding bridge over the pond and the majestic heights of the barns structure is breathtaking. All of our brides fall in love with our oversized bridal suite flooded with natural light and enjoy spending their day there with their friends and family.
What does a typical wedding day look like?
The typical wedding day starts with the girls arriving with all of their ensembles and goodies, heading up to the bridal suite. Family drops off any décor for the event planner to set up and the groomsmen all arrive after lunch, to start preparing for the day. The photographer will take some photos before the guest arrive, as the spaces are getting set up and the other vendors arrive. Once the ceremony is ready to begin, the wedding party gathers in the courtyard to assemble, and walk across the pond to the ceremonial area. Next, the bride makes her grand entrance and the ceremony begins. After the ceremony, the wedding party gathers with the family for photos, as the guests walk across the bridge, to the courtyard, for the cocktail party. When the photos are completed, the guests are seated inside waiting for the entrances of the bridal party. There are announcements, dancing and toasts and next, dinner is served. The cake cutting is to follow, along with other wedding traditions and the party continues with dancing and music. The bride and groom make their special exit and guest leave, after having an amazing day celebrating the happy couple.

Here at the Sugar Barn we have a space that can host larger events such as award ceremonies, live music, corporate events, and other kinds of parties.
HOW DO I SECURE MY WEDDING DATE? After you have toured the Sugar Barn and selected your date, we require a $1,000 deposit. DO WE HAVE TO CHOOSE VENDORS FROM YOUR PREFERRED VENDOR LIST? To ensure a flawless experience we highly recommend that you choose from our preferred vendors who are part of our team. These professionals have received stellar reviews from previous families and are familiar with the location and working with each other. We do have an open vendor policy if you already have a favorite professional who is not part of our team. HOW CAN I PLAN MY REHEARSAL? You may schedule your rehearsal date a day or two before the wedding at the Sugar Barn, between 10:00 AM and 11:30 AM. DO YOU REQUIRE A WEDDING PLANNER? Yes, our venue rental does require a professional event planner to ensure everything runs smoothly. We also offer a wedding planner service for an additional fee. DO YOU REQUIRE EVENT INSURANCE? Yes, insurance is required and can be purchased through our 3rd party insurance company we can refer you to. DO YOU CHARGE A CLEANUP FEE? No, the fee is included in your venue rental and your security deposit is returned after the event has been cleared of all belongings and cleaned. DO YOU OFFER OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATIONS? Yes, we offer a honeymoon cottage nearby, along with many others in the area. We also have a selection of hotels nearby which we have partnerships with that you may block rooms with at no additional cost. DO YOU OFFER TRANSPORTATION? Yes, we can refer several options to transport people from out of the area to the Sugar Barn and hotels. Vintage cars and even a helicopter departure from our front lawn are also available. DO YOU CHARGE CREDIT CARD PROCESSING FEES? Yes, we charge a 3% CC fee, but we encourage checks, or Zelle payments without charging a fee. ARE YOU PET FRIENDLY? Yes, you are welcome to have your dog be part of your wedding day where they are permitted at the ceremony and under professional supervision. No pets are allowed inside the venue buildings and they must leave after the ceremony. DO YOU HOST OTHER TYPES OF EVENTS OTHER THAN WEDDINGS? Yes, we host all types of events from holiday parties to showers, fundraisers, photo sessions, music, and corporate events.
