WEDDING FAVORS WITH A CHARM
The new upcoming trends is about creating unforgettable experiences and personal touches that guests will cherish forever.
One of the most exciting trends we’ve seen comes from the world of live wedding painting. Imagine giving your guests a unique keepsake they’ll treasure—a custom watercolor portrait created right at your wedding!
Here’s what Caryn Dahm, a live wedding painter had to share: “As a live wedding painter, We are really seeing many people wanting the guest portraits this year! These are quick soft watercolors of the guests. The trend is a very fun way to give a personalized wedding favor that the guests will actually keep.
The date of the evening and the couple’s names can be added for even more personalization! We’ve been so happy to jump on this trend and be able to provide live loose guest portraits with my group of artist assistants.”
INTIMATE ELEGANCE

This year, couples are embracing more intimate and personalized celebrations, focusing on meaningful details and elevated experiences. Here’s what Jacqueline owner of Sincerely Yours Weddings & Events had to share:
“I am seeing a lot more smaller and more intimate weddings. I’m talking about 15-30 people! Having a gorgeous private ceremony with the closest people you love, bringing in a private chef or a catered meal, having an AMAZING tablescape, and bringing in a high-end photographer for those family and wedding shots.
Many of my couples are either hiring us to plan and set up their intimate weddings in a private residence or renting out a more secluded Airbnb.”

These thoughtful shifts are redefining wedding trends, inspiring couples to focus on intimacy, elegance, and timeless details for their special day.

Live music is taking center stage at weddings, transforming every moment of the celebration into something unforgettable. From the ceremony to cocktail hour and the first dance, couples are seeking talented musicians who can adapt seamlessly to the different vibes of their big day.
Here’s what Noemy with Anthology Entertainment shared about this growing trend and how it’s creating heartfelt, personalized experiences:
“A key wedding music trend for 2025 is the growing demand for live musical performances that seamlessly flow through every part of the event, from ceremony to cocktail hour and the first dance. Couples are looking for versatile ensembles that can adapt to different moods and settings.
We’re fortunate to have multi-talented musicians who can effortlessly transition from playing the cello during the ceremony to the guitar for cocktail hour for a more upbeat vibe.

THE ART OF THE CAKE
No longer just a sweet treat—wedding cakes are becoming statement pieces that reflect the couple’s unique style.
Here’s what Laure, Director of Catering at Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walk Disney World Resort had to share about this exciting evolution in wedding cake design and how they’re helping couples craft show-stopping creations:
“Wedding cakes are making a bold statement and showcasing their unique personality! In recent years, wedding cake designs often mirrored the reception room decor, with the cake closely matching the room’s color scheme. Fresh florals were a prominent feature, and simple fondant served as a backdrop.
This trend has evolved, and while florals remain a part of cake designs, they are now used more as accents rather than the main focus. More detailed fondant designs, often in subtle and intricate tone-on-tone patterns, are becoming the highlight of the cake’s overall look.
We have an incredible pastry team helmed by Executive Pastry Chef Rabii Saber who works with our couples to create their perfect wedding cake, from intricate design details to flavor profiles and all.”
BEHIND THE SCENES MAGIC
Photography is at the heart of every wedding, preserving moments couples will cherish for a lifetime. In 2025, photography trends are taking a fresh turn, couples are seeking new ways to personalize their photo experiences, spotlight authentic moments, and ensure their celebration is captured in innovative and unforgettable ways.
Michelle from Michelle Vila Photography shared the following: “A fresh twist on the “photo dash” is gaining traction for 2025 weddings, where tables come to the couple instead of the couple running around to every table. This trend, dubbed the “table photo parade,” flips the concept by allowing guests at each table to take turns approaching the couple for a quick photo op.
This streamlined approach not only saves time but ensures the couple remains at the center of the celebration while still capturing moments with all their guests in a fun and efficient way. It’s perfect for couples wanting a creative and guest-inclusive experience while keeping the party’s energy intact.

As couples continue to prioritize social media presence, new roles are emerging in the wedding industry to capture these moments.
Nate Rodriguez with Felix and Fingers shares “we’ve seen an uptick of couples adding a social media capture artist. Many couples choose their photo/video options based on how they can use finished materials for social media. They’re also adding more moments specifically for capture and use on social media.”
Couples are seeking imagery that captures not just the big moments but also the heartfelt, candid interactions and meaningful details that make their day unique.
Michelle from Michelle Vila Photography shared the following: “A growing trend for 2025 weddings is the addition of content creators as part of the vendor team. These professionals specialize in capturing behind-the-scenes moments, candid interactions, and social-media-ready clips that complement the work of photographers and videographers.
Equipped with smartphones or lightweight cameras, they focus on creating real-time content, such as TikToks or Instagram Reels, allowing couples and guests to relive their special day through fun and authentic highlights. This service is perfect for couples who want a blend of traditional keepsakes and modern, shareable memories.”
As couples look for ways to make their wedding photos feel more personal and meaningful, a shift in photography styles is emerging.
FRESH PHOTO STYLES
Pixel Groves shares “Heading into 2025, I’ve noticed a lot of couples are leaning heavier into documentary-style photography.
They want to see the story of their wedding day as they view their galleries – so while they still want some of those nice, fashion-style poses incorporated into their photos, a lot of couples want their photographers to blend into the background and to capture those candid moments as their day unfolds.”

Olivia Polk with Polkbros shares her perspective on how these trends shape how memories are preserved.
“First, we see our couples leaning to a more documentary style capturing candid moments and reactions. I think the draw to this photographic style is capturing the emotions and connections between our couples and their friends and family.
Many moments during the day are planned, like a first look or out on the dance floor, but giving our couples the space to be in the moment and experience their day is what leads to these beautiful photos showing candid reactions and emotions.”

WEDDING WEEKENDS
Couples are increasingly opting for extended celebrations beyond just the wedding day, transforming their event into a weekend full of activities and quality time with guests.
Here is what Sara with Reunion Resort & Golf Club shares: “Couples are shifting toward wedding weekends to make their big day a multi-day experience that allows more time to celebrate with loved ones. This trend is all about creating a full itinerary—from welcome receptions and group activities to rehearsal dinners and farewell brunches.
Reunion Resort & Golf Club is perfectly suited for this, offering stunning event venues, spacious accommodations, and activities like golf, pickleball, and tennis, and private dining. It’s the perfect destination for couples to turn their wedding into a weekend-long celebration of love and connection.”
This trend allows for a more relaxed, immersive experience, with destination venues offering a variety of options to make the entire weekend special.
Brian with Generation Tux shares “The traditional format of a wedding is on its way out. On such an important occasion, fewer couples are considering larger oversized weddings where they barely have time to interact with all of their guests. This is where the multi-day events create a more personal and intimate experience.”
As couples move away from the traditional wedding model, they are seeking more meaningful ways to celebrate with their loved ones which means more time with them!
Brian with Generation Tux also shares “We will definitely be seeing the emergence of couples elongating their wedding celebrations. In light of how expensive everything is now, decorations are being reallocated for pre-wedding events, rehearsal dinners, and post-wedding brunches. This is in efforts of making weddings more interactive and engaging with guests on a more personal level.”
WOMEN’S SUITS MAKE THEIR MARK
Brian from Generation Tux shares his insights on the evolving wedding fashion trends for 2025. “In light of a recent shift in gender inclusivity, women’s suits are set to become more popular in the coming year.
For both LGBTQ+ weddings and cisnormative weddings, brides are embracing a sleek, tailored look to mix things up a bit. As a response to this, we have just launched a line of women’s suits this week.”
This change in bridal attire reflects a broader shift toward inclusivity and individuality, allowing couples to express their style while challenging traditional gender norms. The addition of women’s suits to the wedding fashion scene is just one example of how the wedding industry is evolving to reflect these changes.
A FRESH TAKE ON CEREMONY SEATING
Creative seating arrangements are transforming how couples approach their ceremonies, emphasizing connection and a sense of togetherness. Here’s how Shantel from A Chair Affair describes this emerging trend.
“Circular/inner-facing ceremony seating is becoming increasingly popular. In this seating arrangement, all the chairs are facing inward making the couple the center of the wedding magic. These seating arrangements symbolize unity and togetherness. They also make guests feel less of a seating hierarchy. With all seats facing inward, every guest is part of the inner circle.”
This unique seating arrangement not only creates a visually striking setup but also enhances the emotional connection between the couple and their guests. By breaking away from the traditional rows of chairs, circular or inner-facing layouts foster a sense of intimacy, ensuring every attendee feels equally valued and involved in the ceremony.
COASTAL CHARM
As couples embrace a more relaxed and carefree vibe for their weddings, new themes are emerging that reflect a laid-back, coastal-inspired aesthetic.

Here’s what Britt with Colonial at Sunset venue shares “One thing we’re expecting to take off as a trend in 2025 is a laid-back “sea la vie” attitude. Whether near the shore or inland, you can expect to see whimsical touches like seashell motifs, oceanic color palettes, and nods to nautical fashion.”
Couples can further embrace this aesthetic by incorporating natural materials like sand, rope, and sea glass into their designs. For a nod to nautical fashion, think of airy, flowy fabrics for attire, striped patterns, or sailor-inspired accessories for the wedding party.
COLOR ELEMENTS & FLORALS
Couples are reimagining how florals can elevate their weddings, choosing bold, standout arrangements that leave a lasting impression while balancing elegance and simplicity.
Lauren with Wedding Day Flower Rental shares “We’ve seen large statement florals become more and more popular throughout booking our 2025 weddings! Incorporating minimalistic décor and having just a few florals that really give a WOW factor (such as a broken arch), makes your ceremony memorable for your guests and it adds so much to your photos.
Florals like these are a great option for couples who want to make a statement without being overwhelming (or breaking the bank), especially when you can easily repurpose it to your reception space!”

Statement florals are redefining wedding aesthetics, offering couples a way to make a lasting impression with fewer but more impactful design elements.
Addie with FauxReal Flowers shares “A lot of our couples are requesting larger aisle adornments and draping throughout the space. We have also seen an influx of candle requests for colorful tapers and tea light holders. I think the romance is back by candlelight!”

While we see 2025 starting to bring bold colors and elaborate floral designs, some couples are still keeping it traditional.
Here is what Addie with FauxReal Flowers Orlando shares “We continue to see white florals with lush greens trending for 2025. Our clients are also seeing a love for tulips come into our designs and we are here for it! Muted tones and crispy whites all the way!”

Alongside these floral designs, colorful candles are making their mark in wedding decor.
Lauren with Wedding Day Flower Rental shares “We’re seeing a lot of couples incorporate colorful candles into their wedding tablescapes. This trend is so fun because it’s a really easy way to get creative and mix & match thrifted candlesticks or pillar candles for a sustainable, vintage vibe.”

ELEVATING THE PHOTO BOOTH EXPERIENCE
As weddings evolve, so too does the photo booth experience.
Barbara from Magical Moments FL shares her insight into the emerging trends for 2025, highlighting the growing demand for professional-quality photos and unforgettable moments.
“Couples seeking photo booth services want professional-quality photos. They want their photo booth experience to look as good as the celebrity glam shots they see on Instagram. Luckily, we can do that!”
This growing expectation reflects the shift toward capturing high-quality, shareable images that align with the polished aesthetic couples desire for their wedding day.
In addition to elevating the quality of photos, couples are also looking for new ways to engage guests and create lasting memories. Barbara from Magical Moments FL shares: “Gone are the boring days of sitting at the tables. Guests are interacting and creating memories in new and exciting ways. They want the night to last forever and add on experiences like our mirror booth to capture these moments.”
Interactive photo booth features, such as the mirror booth, allow guests to have fun while contributing to a more dynamic and memorable event. These experiences make the celebration feel even more personalized and unique, encouraging guests to be part of the fun while leaving with a memento that will last a lifetime.
However, the shift in wedding photo booths is also about moving away from what’s no longer working. Barbara from Magical Moments FL shares “Blurry photos, kitschy borders, and boring experiences. Everything is being more personalized to each couple and it’s amazing!”
OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW
As weddings continue to evolve, some long-standing traditions and styles are being left behind in favor of fresh, modern ideas. From décor choices to time-honored rituals, here’s what our wedding pros say is on its way out in 2025.
Pixel Groves shared that neutral color pallets are on their way out. “I’m seeing a lot more bold and vibrant colors in the wedding parties. I personally love it too! It gives a fun, personality infused vibe to the entire day and makes the photos just so beautiful!”

As weddings become more personalized, certain traditions are quietly fading away or being transformed to feel more modern and meaningful.
Michelle from Michelle Vila Photography shares “One trend on its way out in 2025 is the traditional garter toss. Many couples are steering away from this tradition due to its increasingly outdated and awkward perception among modern guests. However, some are reimagining the ritual by opting for private garter tosses, turning the moment into an intimate and playful exchange between the couple.
This approach maintains the fun without the potential discomfort of performing the toss in front of a crowd, aligning with the broader trend of personalization and authenticity in weddings.”
We also notice for 2025 wedding trends, couples are moving toward wedding styles that focus on timeless elegance and meaningful touches rather than overly structured themes. The focus shifts to a representation of the relationship and to celebrating them.
Sara with Reunion Resort & Golf Club shares insight into this evolving trend “While subtle themes can personalize a wedding, overly themed celebrations are on their way out in 2025. Couples are moving away from rigid themes that can feel forced or distract from the heartfelt moments of the day.
Instead, they’re opting for timeless designs, meaningful details, and experiences that reflect their unique story without overshadowing the love they’re there to celebrate. This shift allows for more creativity and authenticity in planning their special day.”
As couples move away from rigid themes, they’re also embracing more flexible, personalized choices that reflect their true preferences. This shift toward meaningful, authentic details is shaping decisions beyond just decor, including how they celebrate special moments like dessert.
Here’s what Jacqueline owner of Sincerely Yours Weddings & Events had to share: “I’ve had quite a few couples skipping a formal cake cutting or the cake in general. Instead, they are going with a dessert display with many of their favorite items—a favorite type of pie, cannolis, brownies, cookies, etc.”
Jacqueline also added: “Rustic and farm chic is finally on its way out—even in the more rural towns. They don’t mind the country, but there still needs to be a classic and elegant tone to the event. Using farm tables for the reception, but instead of lace or burlap runners, you will find more soft chiffons or light glitter materials.
Candlelight is still big, but you won’t be seeing as many mason jars. Instead, we are bringing back those candelabras and classic votives.”
Wedding trends evolve and expand each year, offering fresh ways to add personality and uniqueness to your celebration. These trends stand out because they bring meaningful value and make each wedding truly special. However, don’t feel obligated to follow a trend just because it’s popular—embracing your creativity and personal style is what inspires tomorrow’s wedding trends!
