When people ask “what do you do”, how do you answer?
I am a luxury floral designer
What did you do before you did this?
I worked full time in Corporate America for 18 years alongside my business.
When and how did you get into the wedding industry?
1989 When I was 23 years old.
What is your favorite thing about what you do? What’s your WHY?
I love the look on a brides face when I hand them their bouquet and show them how to hold it correctly.
What motivates you to do this every day?
The joy of working with brides and learning how the bride and groom met.
What is the best compliment you have received from your clients?
That my floral’s are outstanding, and always surprised when they get more than they actually thought they were getting.
How did you decide on the name of your company?
I named it after myself.
What is important for clients to know about your company before they book you?
That we do have a minimum in floral’s and we work with luxury florals that are from around the world and the freshest.
What type of events do you specialize in?
Wedding and large scale events for charity and corporate America.
Why do couples hire you?
I am transparent on pricing, I educate, and they get all the little details when they book with us.
What does your most popular package include?
We do not offer packages. We customized everything

Our average weddings run from $3,000-$10,000 and above
What are the most common questions you get asked by brides and/or grooms?
Why does this cost so much?
Do you colorize floral’s? No, we do not colorize anything that will be held by the bride or bridal party. The only floral’s that will not be touched.
Do you work with Faux/silk flowers? Not any longer as they are the same cost as fresh
Can we supply our own vases or containers? We do not work with DIY, it compromised the integrity of our business.
The best piece of advice for brides or grooms.
Pinterest is a wonderful place to find inspirational photos for a wedding. But it is unrealistic expectations on the true cost. Most of the photos selected are much more expensive than a bride realizes. Floral budgets should begin with 15% of your overall budget. For example, if your budget is 20,000 then your overall budget begins at 2,250 for your flowers. That does not typically include the rental cost of vessels, tax, service fees for designing, delivery, setup, and then strike of an event or wedding.
