What people ask “what do you do”, how do you answer?

I assist couples with finding the location for their wedding they have always dreamed of and take the journey with them on planning the most memorable day of their lives.

When and how did you get into the wedding industry?

I began my career in Corporate Communications and Events, then in the live entertainment industry at a concert venue, then found my passion in weddings and social events. I have been in the events industry for most of my career and the wedding industry for the past 8 years.

What is your favorite thing about what you do? What’s your WHY?

The personal connection with couples and their families is one of the favorite parts of my job. I love taking the journey with them to create one of the most important days in their lives. Why? Passion and connection.

What motivates you to do this every day?

The realization of the couple’s big day after months, sometimes years of planning, and the look on their faces when they walk down the aisle motivates me beyond comprehension.

What is the best compliment you have received from your clients?

My wedding was a dream come true! Not only is the resort beautiful, but Kasey is a wedding rockstar! She helped plan our wedding in two months during a pandemic. It ended up raining on the day of our wedding, but Kasey thought of a creative way to keep my ceremony outdoors and covered. The pictures were amazing! During the reception, the staff was so attentive and helpful. They even took good care of us at the pool the following day! We truly had the best experience at Margaritaville! I will be recommending this venue to all of my friends!

Share the details of your most memorable event and why.

I had a wedding with a couple from New York and one of their favorite things to do was to go to a local music venue and see a band that they both loved. One of the girls as a gift to her partner for the wedding arranged to have an artist they loved so much be at the reception and sing the song for their first dance. In addition to all of the typical wedding planning and setup, we had to hide the artist, do a soundcheck, and coordinate with the DJ to begin the start of the song, and then the fantastic moment the artist entered the room signing their song for their first dance. Phones flew up in the air as everyone in shock and awe recorded this amazing moment and the expression on the couple’s faces is one that I will never forget.

Tell us about your favorite type of engaged couple.

Those who when they walk in the door for their first visit to the property have that newly engaged excitement in their eyes and are eager to take in and visualize what their wedding is going to look like. They ask a lot of questions and they are eager to get planning.

What is one of the features why couples choose your venue?

The beauty of our sprawling, tropical property and stunning lobby are a picture-perfect location for a wedding. Our pricing is simple and straightforward and leaves a lot of the guesswork out when it comes to budget.

What does your most popular package include?

What is the most unique service/product that you offer?

A coastal, tropical atmosphere close to all of the excitement Orlando has to offer, but inclusive of itself that there is so much to offer right here that you, your friends, and family can celebrate, relax and enjoy themselves from the moment they arrive until their departure. In addition to our beautiful hotel rooms, we also offer breathtaking key west style cottages from 1 bedroom to 8 bedrooms for bridal parties and families to share.

The best piece of advice for someone that just recently got engaged.

Enjoy every moment from the engagement day to the search for the perfect venue, to the planning process leading up to an amazing wedding day. The process can be stressful but the results – oh so beautiful and memorable.

Best piece of advice to reduce stress in the planning process.

Take a breath and ask a lot of questions. The more you know and can ease your mind, the less overwhelming the process will be.

What is the biggest mistake that people make when venue searching?

Flexibility and not going to visit (or at least virtually visit) the venue before asking how much, and not asking enough good, quality questions during the visit. Making a list or bringing a checklist with you can be helpful with organizing and prioritizing your top choices.

What is a tip for couples as they are navigating the planning process?

Enjoy the process and don’t let it overwhelm you. Planning can be fun and creative and if you are not the detail type there are so many amazing wedding planners who can help you through the process and take the stress off.

What can couples do to combat nerves on the wedding day?

Relax and enjoy every moment. Our onsite spa can help with that with an amazing massage or spa treatment. Let your planner, family, and friends take care of the day-of last-minute details so that you can enjoy just preparing for walking down the aisle and an amazing evening with your friends and family.
