It gives us great pleasure to introduce Aleshia George from Venue 1902 at Preservation Hall.
When people ask “what do you do”, how do you answer?
I do Sales and Marketing. We have a team approach to planning weddings at Venue 1902! I do not stop after we book a couple! We all work to help them throughout the entire process!
What did you do before you did this?
I was in school Full time (to become a social worker) and had a small baking business!
When and how did you get into the wedding industry?
I had a background in design and when my daughter got married at Venue 1902, I planned her entire wedding, after her wedding I was offered a part time job at Venue 1902. The rest as they say is History!
What is your favorite thing about what you do? What’s your WHY?
I love learning new things and meeting awesome people! Working at Venue 1902 has given me the opportunity to learn and develop new skills. I am always up for a challenge and love the diversity that comes from working in the wedding industry!
What motivates you to do this every day?
I feel it is such a privileged to play a role in a couple’s wedding! I sincerely love the fact we get to be involved in one of the most important days of their lives! I also believe that every couple is unique and every wedding is special!
What is the best compliment you have received from a client?
This is hard, but I am so grateful when they say I am honest and genuine. It keeps me humble and reminds me to continue to be real and down to earth.
How did you decide on the name of your company?
Lisa named the Venue before I started working there! It was built in 1902, so it makes sense to be called Venue 1902!
What is important for clients to know about your company before they book you?
We only do one wedding a day! We believe in making their wedding day all about the couple and giving our full attention to helping them have the best day ever!

Tell us about some of your package options and the prices for these packages.
We include a rehearsal, brunch for the wedding party, valet parking! Weekday pricing starts at 3500 and from there you can go up to 8000. for our top package that includes a sparkler exit and church pews, custom arch options and so much more!
What are the most common questions you get asked by brides and/or grooms?
Aleshia, How are you so funny? Just kidding, they want to know do we allow outside catering? Do we have a rain plan? Is 10-10-2020 available! Do you include a rehearsal?
The best piece of advice for brides or grooms.
Always have a rain back up plan! It is Florida and we all know Florida weather does what Florida weather wants to!
