It gives us great pleasure to introduce this week’s vendor spotlight, Erica Trunk of Solutions Bridal.
When people ask “what do you do?” how do you answer?
I get to help women feel beautiful from the inside out. With the focus on her feeling like the best version of herself, I help guide her to the dress of her dreams. I feel privileged that I can be a part of such a special and memorable journey.
What is your favorite thing about what you do? What’s your WHY?
My favorite thing about what I do is, of course, interacting with so many lovely brides, but I also love being a part of the community here in Orlando. I love building relationships with other vendors in my area and collaborating with photographers, florists, and venues for styled shoots, fashion shows, and networking events.
Tell us about your most memorable event so far and why it was.
We are hosting a series for local wedding planners called #PlannerSolutions, where we show them tips and tricks they need to know in case a wedding gown emergency happens to one of their brides. It’s a great opportunity to come together as an industry, get to know each other, and to support other small businesses.
What is the best compliment you’ve received from your clients?
One of the best compliments I have received from a client is that we stand out among other salons in our area. It warms my heart when we are described as “unlike anywhere else,” or when brides say they “can’t imagine going anywhere else.”
What is important for clients to know about your company before they book you?
We offer the full experience here at Solutions Bridal. When booking a Bridal Styling appointment, you can expect to have a section reserved for you and your guests.
You will be offered a drink—we offer water, rose, white wine, or a mimosa—and will meet one-on-one with a stylist who will get to know you, your style, your vision for your special day, and as much or as little as you are comfortable sharing about who you are marrying or anything else in your personal life. If you say “yes” here, we pop the champagne and feature you on our Instagram stories, as we celebrate such a special and memorable moment in your life.
Our appointments typically last around two hours, as we don’t want you to feel rushed and we need the time to carefully consider what dresses will most fit the vision you come in with.
What makes your business stand out from others in your category?
Here at Solutions Bridal, we truly treat everyone who walks through our doors like family. With a warm welcome as we offer them a mimosa as we anticipate their needs and make them feel at home. We provide bride-centered service, getting to know our brides’ style as well as what makes them uniquely special. Our aim is to make her feel celebrated and like the most beautiful version of herself, as we provide top notch service.
I firmly believe that in having this attitude behind everything we do, it sets us apart.
What do you think are the biggest misconceptions that people have about your vendor category?
I think one of the biggest misconceptions is that you need to attend multiple appointments before saying “yes” to your dress. Just like finding love, finding your dream dress can happen when you least expect it! Embrace it. Many brides find their dress at their first appointment.
