Frequently Asked Questions

What are the top three venue features?

1. Unique Tropical Atmosphere The Island Oasis offers over 5,000 square feet of indoor, fully climate-controlled event space. Designed to mimic an exotic outdoor paradise, the venue features lush tropical greenery, towering palm trees, string lights, and a tiki-themed bar area—allowing you to host a beach-style event without worrying about Florida’s weather. 2. Immersive Aquarium & Rainforest Access One of the venue’s biggest highlights is that bookings include exclusive access to the surrounding attractions 3. Flexible Packages & Pricing The venue offers packages tailored for both standard events and full-scale weddings:

Does the venue offer catering or bar services? If yes, what is the average cost per guest?

We offer beer & wine at $49 per guests for 4 hours.

Is there a guest or spending minimum required to book?

No

What does a typical wedding day look like?

Our ready room suites are available starting at 11:00am. The ceremony can be hosted under the fish arch or in our Island Oasis Venue with seating for up to 150. Cocktail hour will be hosted in our aquarium with high top tables surrounding our shark tank and stingray touch tank, while guests have the opportunity a meet n’ greet with an animal or two. Once cocktail hour is complete the guests will be moved into the Island Oasis Venue for a night of dinner, dancing, and memories.

What makes your venue a favorite with couples?

What really makes the Island Oasis a favorite for couples is how easily it blends the magic of a destination tropical wedding with the stress-free comfort of an indoor, climate-controlled venue. Here is what couples rave about the most: 1. The “No-Stress” Tropical Vibe Florida weddings are beautiful, but heat, humidity, rain, and bugs can easily crash an outdoor beach ceremony. Couples love that they get the best of both worlds here: towering palm trees, lush greenery, and a relaxed, breezy island aesthetic, all while keeping their guests perfectly cool in full A/C. 2. Built-In, Unforgettable Entertainment Instead of worrying about keeping guests entertained during transition times, couples get a built-in experience. While the newlyweds are taking photos, guests can: Sip cocktails right next to the Stingray Touch Tank and feed the rays. Walk through the Rainforest Adventure to see the sloths, otters, and lemurs. Explore the glowing aquarium exhibits after hours. It turns a standard wedding into an interactive weekend adventure that guests talk about for years. 3. Absolute Freedom with Catering Many traditional venues lock couples into expensive, in-house catering contracts with fixed menus. The Island Oasis is highly praised for its open-vendor policy. Couples have the freedom to bring in their favorite local caterer, a casual food truck, or host a custom tropical buffet that fits their exact budget and taste. The Ultimate Photo Op: The crowd favorite is undoubtedly the aquarium’s 4,000-gallon coral fish arch. Saying “I do” underneath a canopy of swimming tropical fish makes for wedding photos that are incredibly vibrant and completely unique.

Are couples required to provide wedding insurance?

Yes.

What other types of events does the venue host?

While weddings are incredibly popular at the Island Oasis, its unique combination of spacious event hosting and immersive wildlife exhibits makes it a highly sought-after venue for a wide variety of events. Because the venue is directly connected to the 55,000-square-foot Daytona Aquarium & Rainforest Adventure, it is frequently booked for the following types of gatherings: 1. Corporate Events & Networking Functions Ditch the stuffy hotel conference rooms. Companies use the Island Oasis to escape the ordinary, hosting: Corporate Dinners & Banquets: The 5,000-square-foot space easily accommodates up to 150–200 guests for formal dining and presentations. Networking Mixers: Mingle with a cocktail in hand near the 110,000-gallon shark habitat or the stingray touch pools. Product Launches & Seminars: The venue is fully climate-controlled and equipped with audio/visual capabilities. 2. Galas & Non-Profit Fundraisers Charity events benefit heavily from the venue’s “wow factor”. The exotic, high-end atmosphere of the aquarium at night naturally draws crowds. Fundraisers can easily customize their evening with Animal Encounters—where professional zookeepers bring out ambassador animals (like reptiles, small mammals, or birds) to mingle with guests and spark conversation. 3. Holiday Parties & Social Celebrations From corporate Christmas parties to major life milestones, the tropical resort-style backdrop makes planning easy: Milestone Birthdays & Anniversaries: A tropical escape theme is built right into the architecture of the venue. Rehearsal Dinners: Many couples booking their wedding elsewhere in Daytona Beach still host their rehearsal dinner here for a fun, relaxed icebreaker. Family Reunions & Baby Showers: Highly child-friendly and engaging for all age groups.

Best piece of advice for couples planning a wedding.

Define your “Top 3 Non-Negotiables” on Day One—and let go of the rest. Before you look at a single venue, dress, or catering menu, sit down with your partner and agree on the three most important elements of your wedding day. For some couples, it’s: Incredible food and an open bar. A killer DJ/band to keep the dance floor packed. A unique venue that doesn’t need a ton of extra decorating. For others, it might be: A highly documentary-style photographer. An intimate guest list (under 50 people). Stunning floral arrangements.

Tell us about a memorable story from a recent event.

Working with a couple for 15 months on planning their wedding, and the bride was nervous that she wasn’t portraying it correctly. I promised her that I understood and it would be everything she would ever want. The first look to the venue happened, and it was nothing short of perfection. Smiles and happy tears came immediately after.

How many weddings do you host per day/weekend?

We can host 7 per week, we only have one evening event per day.

What is one thing couples always tell you after the wedding?

We are literally writing this from our honeymoon flight because we just couldn’t wait to say thank you! Everyone warned us that our wedding day would be a ‘stressful blur’ and that we’d barely remember it. But honestly? We had the absolute time of our lives. Because the venue was so beautiful on its own and the team handled everything, we actually got to slow down, eat our wedding cake, and laugh until our ribs hurt! Our guests are still texting us saying it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. Looking over during cocktail hour and seeing my 78-year-old grandma laughing while feeding a stingray, and our college friends taking selfies with a sloth in the rainforest, was just pure magic.

Can couples or vendors ever drop off decor items the day before or pick them up the next day?

Couples can only bring things the day of and must remove them after the event.

Margaret and Cliff Grosvenor

Cliff and I began our aquarium journey in Scranton, PA, with the opening of Electric City Aquarium. After falling in love with the Daytona Beach area, we opened Daytona Aquarium & Rainforest Adventure in 2024. Inspired by our passion for animals and creating unforgettable experiences, we recently opened The Island Oasis, a tropical paradise inspired indoor wedding venue where couples can celebrate surrounded by the beauty of aquatic and rainforest life.
