The Mount Dora Yacht Club is Florida’s oldest inland Yacht Club. Located in beautiful Lake County, Florida, our clubhouse is nestled in the quaint town of Mount Dora along the banks of Lake Dora. Our goal is to provide an enjoyable atmosphere where we can gather for social events, promote water activities, and cultivate community relations.
The clubhouse is the perfect venue for your special occasion. Our enchanting, spacious interior with floor to ceiling windows adds a timeless elegance to the intimacy of a small business function or the grandeur of a formal affair.
The Mount Dora Yacht Club was established in 1913 and is the perfect venue for your special occasion. It is set in the heart of beautiful downtown Mount Dora. The Mount Dora Yacht Club offers spectacular views of Lake Dora with sunsets that are second to none. Our enchanting, spacious interior with floor to ceiling windows adds a timeless elegance to the intimacy of a small business function or the grandeur of a formal affair.

Capacity for a non-seated event: 150 guests
Capacity for a seated plated dinner: 130 guests
Capacity for a seated buffet dinner: 120 guests
We do require a day of coordinator, someone who will be in charge of directing anything the day of (coordinating with vendors, caterers, and the club manager), they will be required to be here from the start of the day, to the end of the day. They are also required to meet with the club manager at a minimum two weeks prior to the event. If you don’t have one in mind, we can provide one for an additional fee.
We do not have a preferred caterer, so you’re welcome to use whoever you’d like, including yourself if that’s what you’re looking for! If a caterer is used, they must provide a Certificate of Insurance, and take out the trash (your coordinator is responsible for this if not caterer is used), and kitchen must be in the same condition as it was prior to use. Dishes & flatware are available for additional fees, but we do not provide linens.
The week before Thanksgiving each year, we decorate for Christmas. These decorations must not be moved for events.

We range from $2,000 – $3,000 depending on the day of the week and how many hours are required!

Does the venue provide catering and bar service? If so, what is the average cost per person?
We do not, but we have a fully commercial kitchen, and a caterer we use each week who is very talented and always open to booking. We also have a list of caterers to suggest, but the nicest part is we don’t “require” you to use someone on that list. If they plan to use the kitchen, they must be licensed and insured, but if you’re looking to just do platters on your own, we can accommodate that too! We pride ourselves on our flexibility.
Do you require wedding insurance?
We do require event insurance.
