The Grand Ballroom, with its soaring 17-foot ceilings and expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, spans 4,700 square feet and accommodates up to 225 seated guests—offering a bright, airy setting for a sophisticated celebration. For elevated events, the Rooftop Meeting Room and Terrace provide panoramic views of the surrounding lakes and cityscape. These spaces can host up to 185 guests and may be reserved individually or together for a seamless indoor-outdoor experience. The Belvedere platform, with its scenic waterfront vista, offers another memorable setting for up to 200 attendees.

Does the venue provide catering and bar service? If so, what is the average cost per person?
We have partnered with some of central Florida’s finest caterers to provide food and beverage services in our venue. Catering fees are not included in the venue rental price and no other catering services are permitted.
Is there a minimum for booking?
On Friday and Saturday, clients must reserve the full building package. On Sunday through Thursday, we offer hourly rental options.
Do you require wedding insurance?
We require all hired vendors to provide the venue with a certificate of insurance naming the City of Winter Park as an additional insured. We also accept the option of a private rental providing an umbrella policy to cover the entire event and all vendors.

Find your perfect ceremony location in one of several areas that are available both indoors and outdoors in the Grand Ballroom, Belvedere, Rooftop Terrace or picturesque Tiedtke Amphitheater. The 4,700 square-foot Grand Ballroom features soaring ceilings and unsurpassed views, making it the perfect venue for a wedding reception. A monumental, circular staircase takes guests to the Rooftop Terrace for a unique experience available only at the Winter Park Events Center. Beautifully equipped dressing rooms are available both upstairs and downstairs for the wedding party’s convenience. Venue-owned tables and chairs are provided for each event.
What are the top three venue features?
1. Our venue-owned furniture (included in the rental price) features black chameleon chairs and various table options. 2. We offer two 58” digital sign boards that can be customized with images specific to your event. 3. We have a unique up lit palm tree feature by the lake that is stunning for photos.

The Winter Park Events Center offers a premier setting for business meetings, corporate functions, conventions, and conferences. Beyond corporate events, the venue is ideal for baby and bridal showers, milestone birthdays, and other special celebrations. Our flexible spaces, equipped with state-of-the-art projection screens, advanced AV technology, upscale furnishings, and serene views, can be tailored to suit any occasion.
What gets you most excited about wedding day?
For me (Joel, our Events Coordinator), it’s a full circle moment. Most of the time I’ve been in communication with our couples for close to, or over, a year. Planning, coordinating, site visits, phone calls, and lots of logistics. Having the event day finally arrive and run so smoothly, seeing everyone involved so elated, just shows that all of the communal efforts paid off. The time invested, the memories created, and the choice that couples have made to allow us to share in one of their most important days is priceless.
Tell us about a memorable story from a recent event.
The City of Winter Park Library & Events Center is one campus, the Events Center operates in conjunction with the Winter Park Public Library. The space between both of the buildings, known as the Belvedere Breezeway, has allowed us to showcase beautiful ceremonies, unique displays, and true versatility. Because of its unique design features, the space itself creates a flowing breeze that adds dynamic to our events. One of our first weddings at the venue hosted their ceremony in the Breezeway. The weather that day was questionable, subject to change at a moment’s notice. Thankfully, the weather allowed us to successfully facilitate the ceremony and we thought we were in the clear. Post-ceremony, during family photos, the weather began to change rapidly. As our gorgeous bride was basking in the glory of her wedding day and making the most of the atmospheric change, her veil was blown completely out of her hair! A strong gust of wind had completely removed her bobby-pinned veil as she was graciously gallivanting in the wind. At one point, the veil made its way near the roof of the building, and we all thought it was lost forever. From one moment to the next, things changed, and the veil was free-flowing in the wind.You can imagine that during this time, most of the wedding party and attendees are sitting inside the facility watching all of this unfold. Joel, our heroic Events Coordinator, was nearby organizing the space for the reception and in a swift split-second decision, sprinted outside to catch the veil mid-air. All the on-lookers clapped and cried out with joy and laughter, the veil was returned to the bride, and she had a special memory that will last forever.
Best piece of advice for couples planning a wedding.
1. Do not stress what you cannot control (weather). 2. It’s your wedding—don’t worry about pleasing everyone else. Focus on what makes you and your partner truly happy, so you can enjoy your special day together the way you want to. 3. Invest in a wedding planner, it truly makes a world of difference!

The Winter Park Events Center crew were absolute gems to work with, they answered every little question I had and helped us with some great suggestions along the way. We had a fairly small wedding for the space (it can fit like 250 and we were approx 80), but the space was perfect. People were in awe of how beautiful a venue it is. The ease of seeing the calendar of dates available online made this such a quick and easy decision from the start, but the kindness that Joel and Alexandra and the staff had was the best. If you\’re looking for a unique space that is truly transformable to your vision, with support by a great staff… look no further!
