Wedding Venue Map is always looking to help our Trusted Wedding Pro community make connections, so in November we got together at our first Meat & Greet luncheon event at Fogo de Chāo.
We rarely host networking events over a full meal because our focus is on connecting Trusted Wedding Pros of like-minded people who provide exceptional service and believe in the power of referrals. When we connected with the team at Fogo de Chão about working together on an event, the ideas started flowing on how we could add quality get-to-know each other activities over an amazing meal.
Whoever chose to enjoy an afternoon mixing and mingling was advised well ahead of time, plan on skipping breakfast for this unique dining experience. They were advised to come hungry and that they would probably leave STUFFED!
Fogo de Chā0 started the luncheon off with their Market Table and Feijoada Bar including fresh seasonal salads, exotic vegetables, imported cheeses, smoked salmon, cured meats, seasonal soup, Fogo feijoada (traditional black bean stew with sausage) served with rice, fresh orange, farofa (baked yuca flour with bacon), and more.
Next we enjoyed the Fogo tradition of a Currasco Experience. There was a continuous tableside service of signature cuts of fire-roasted meat including:
- FILET MIGNON – Tenderloin
- BEEF ANCHO – Ribeye
- FRALDINHA – Bottom Sirloin
- LOMBO – Pork
- PICANHA – Prime part of the Top Sirloin
- MEDALHŌES com BACON – Bacon-Wrapped Chicken and Steak
- CORDEIRO – Prime Lamb Steak, Chops
- COSTELA de PORCO -Pork Ribs
- COSTELA – Beef Ribs
- ALCATRA – Top Sirloin
- LINGUICA – Spicy Pork Sausage
- PICANHA de PORCO -Pork Picanha
- FRANGO – Chicken
Sides were served family-style for each table including:
- WARM PÃO de QUEIJO (Cheese Bread)
- CRISPY POLENTA
- MASHED POTATOES
- CARMELIZED BANANAS
Rudy & Marta Photography were there to capture images of the afternoon including attendees getting caught up and making those invaluable connections, the restaurant, and all the yummy meats and sides.
They were also able to capture the delectable deliciousness of the Bite-sized Whoopie Pies, Pumpkin Tiramisu, and the Caramel Gingerbread mini cupcake desserts provided by Sweet Miss V’s.
Owner and operator Jason Martin from Martin Media Production was able to capture the day in video. As he does, Jason personally services each wedding from start to finish, and today’s event was no different. Jason’s personal touch of one on one service allows for any story to be captured and edited into a one-of-a-kind video keepsake.
This in-person networking event included fun facts about each person at the tables that were covered by Connie Duglin Linen, in a rich Terracotta Crinkle Taffeta. We also created get to know each other questions as conversation starters at the table. Each table had a host to help make sure everyone felt included and to keep the conversation going!
