It gives us great pleasure to introduce Christy Subler or Anna Christine Events.
How long would you say you’ve been doing what you do today?
I’ve been doing events since 2003, and started Anna Christine Events in 2008!
How did your work evolve to get you to where you are today?
In 2013 Laura joined me and I could feel a shift. I knew I had the support I needed to really move forward. I had had amazing help from friends and colleagues prior, but no one can compare to the love and support of my sister. So we buckled down, made a plan, and at the end of that year, we rebranded to the Anna Christine Events many know today.
What motivates you to do this every day?
Love! The love we put into every event. The love we see in our brides’ and grooms’ eyes when they see their reception space for the first time. The love we feel in the room when friends and family are celebrating. The love we feel when our clients hug us at the end of the night and say “thank you!”
Tell us about your ideal client.
Laura has a saying: We help nice people have nice weddings! We love working with clients’ looking to celebrate with their friends and families, and make it a special experience. And we love incorporating their personalities into their event so that it’s their own!
Why do you think your business is successful?
We work really hard to make sure both our clients AND our vendor partners have a smooth, stress-free day! We aim to be the calm in the middle of the storm, and I think that’s a quality people want to work with.
What is your best piece of advice for someone that just got engaged?
Knock out these two things first: putting together your guest list and deciding your budget. Once you have that information you’ll know how much money you have and how far it has to go. And it will help you know.
What do you think are the biggest misconceptions about your vendor category?
Lots of people think if you hire a wedding planner you don’t get to design or have a say-so in planning your own wedding, and that’s definitely not true! We can help you with as much or as little as you need. We have clients that have a small idea and we build on that, and we have clients that know exactly what they want and we simply execute it. And we honestly love both!

Bella Collina– This venue is gorgeous and there is nothing else like it! The staff is always professional and helpful, doing everything they can to make sure their clients (and other vendors) have a great wedding day!
Luxmore Grande Estate- We love working with this venue! Both the venue team and the catering team with Big City go above and beyond for their couples and their fellow vendors! We love having both outdoor and indoor wedding ceremonies here, and their indoor reception space is like no other!
Cypress Grove Estate House- If you’re looking for a stunning outdoor wedding venue, this is it! We love the classic look of the events we do here, and we love how smoothly things go with the venue team and the Big City Catering team!
