Share with us when and how you met each other.
It was April 2021… COVID times…everything is shut down. A mutual friend Dana said that we would be perfect for each other. We started chatting via Facebook messenger on April 6, 2021. Later that week we decided to exchange phone numbers. On April 30, 2021, Joe said do you want to meet up? I’m like where? Everything is shut down and we have a curfew in effect. He said either my house or yours. I decided on his house. He ordered 4 Rivers and we played card games (my favorite!) It was the most wonderful thing that evolved from COVID!
What are your favorite things to do together as a couple?
Go to the beach, play board and card games, watch movies, bike rides, go on vacations.
How long were you together before getting engaged?
14 months

Share your marriage proposal story…
Joe asked my parents, sister, and son, if he can marry me. Joe insisted we take a walk and enjoy the sunrise on the beach, which is something we had always talked about. I had makeup on from the night before, hair in a ponytail, and workout clothes on. So we got up and did it. As the sun was coming up he said let’s take a picture I said let’s take a time-lapse video. So as I struggled to find my phone I look over and he was on his knee with a ring box in his hand! I just keep saying is this for real??? As he was still on his knee. I finally screamed yes! Then a photographer appeared and some of my friends and his daughter! Then he had planned for my other friends to be there the night before and planned an engagement party on the beach that day! It was so thoughtful yet so simple!
What was the best moment of the proposal?
The surprise! The thoughtfulness!
Who did you tell that you were engaged first?
My son and sister and parents.
Tell us about the ring!
Round 2.5c with baguettes and 2 smaller diamonds. The round stone was his mom’s first ring. He had it put into a beautiful setting!
I’m 45 and never thought I was going to get married! This is my first wedding! His 2nd marriage.

What are you most excited about wedding planning?
Making sure people have a good time! My grandma who is 96 is going to be our flower queen!
If you’ve already decided, when are you getting married and what is your venue?
4-2-2022, Ceremony on the beach, reception in the clubhouse of our condo at the beach!
Why did you choose that venue?
I’ve always wanted to get married on the beach and it so happens this clubhouse is beautiful! Simplicity!
