Hiring the right wedding vendors is so important on your wedding day. The vendors create the backdrop of every moment, every picture and every memory. It gives us great pleasure to introduce this week’s vendor spotlight, Ellie Shackleton Jones of Bridal Gallery of Orlando.
When people ask “what do you do”, how do you answer?
We help Brides have the very best “say yes” experience possible!
What did you do before you did this?
Apart from her love of fashion, Ellie is a businesswoman at heart. At the age of 15, her parents supported her voyage to the United States in hopes of becoming a doctor who would eventually come back and cure the poor in her town. Needless to say, her heart’s desires pushed her to another route, earning degrees in business and fashion design leading to 20 plus successful years in the apparel industry, eventually becoming the owner of 2 lucrative apparel companies.
When and how did you get into the wedding industry?
Ellie was one of the youngest of 8 sisters often receiving their ill-fitted hand me down clothes. With determination not to look outdated, she worked diligently on those used styles of clothing and made them new and improved.
Finding love in this process, she continued to gather, cut, sew, and piece together whatever fabrics she could get her hands on and sold them as her own creations.
What is the best compliment you have received from your clients?
We love it when Brides share that they weren’t really planning on coming into our salon but once they do they cancel all the rest of their appointments elsewhere because they know this is the place for them! We pride ourselves in our knowledge and service to our clients and know we can provide them with the BEST experience in finding “the one!”
What is important for clients to know about your company before they book you?
“I make it my responsibility to be involved in all aspects of garment selection to make sure you find that perfect piece for one of the most important days in your life. I wanted this for myself and I want it for you. I designed the Bridal Gallery’s in-house services to assure you to have a relaxed and pampered experience while choosing the perfect pieces for your perfect day.”
What types of events do you specialize in?
Unique to the industry Orlando Bridal Gallery offers customization, embroidery, beading, and screen printing as well as on-site alterations keeping quality and time frames as its priority. We invite you to come and discover a one-of-a-kind dress from our many collections.
Tell us about some of your package options and the price range for these packages?
We offer private and VIP Bridal Styling sessions where we close down the entire store just for the bride and her party! VIP sessions also include champagne and light hors d’oeuvres! Private Bridal Styling Sessions are $175, VIP Bridal Styling Sessions are $250.
What are the most common questions you get asked by brides and/or grooms?
We always get asked WHAT and WHO should be brought to a Bridal Styling Session. We suggest bringing no more than 4 guests with you, that way you don’t get overwhelmed with opinions and ideas from the whole party. At the time of your dress fitting, you should bring the undergarments you will be wearing on your wedding day as well as your shoes.
