Share with us when and how you met each other.
We meet 25 years ago when he came into the Bridal Shop my family owned to drop off business cards and introduce himself.
What are your favorite things to do together as a couple?
Just spend time together anywhere, but especially at Disney!
How long were you together before getting engaged?
5 months
Did anyone help with the Cinderella Castle marriage proposal?
No. He planned the whole day as a surprise at Disney.

He asked me to take a day off work. He was planning a day for us to enjoy. The week before the big day he let me know he was taking me to Disney/Epcot. We had so much fun and enjoyed every minute of the day! We laughed so much but as the afternoon was coming to a close he asked for me to take pictures of us in front of the castle.
The mood changed from fun to serious. He said he had a dilemma. He knew how much I love fireworks and really wanted to ask me a special question, but felt now was the time! I told him to do whatever he felt was right! He then told me he wanted me to be his wife and asked me to marry him!
He pulled out a very special ring that belonged to his Granny. I knew how much she meant to him and how special this ring was. I buried my head in his chest and said yes.
I felt so honored to wear this ring and would cherish it all the days of my life. He proceeded to say “That’s another reason I chose to give it to you.” We finished our day at Epcot and enjoyed the fireworks that I love so much. It was an amazing day I will never forget.
What was the best moment of the proposal?
When he asked and the amazing emotions that flooded my heart as he pulled out his Granny’s ring!
Who did you tell that you were engaged first?
Our best friends and family.

It is a vintage white gold round solitaire. Absolutely gorgeous.
How amazingly happy everyone is for us and the amazing wedding community that has said why did it take so long!

Bridle Oaks Barn in Deland, FL.
Why did you choose that venue?
This is Phil’s number one place to DJ weddings and the team there is amazing, just like the venue!
