Share with us when and how you met each other.
My fiance and I met on the island of Guam at a sports bar I was working at. My fiance is a pilot for the Air Force and they travel every summer to Guam, so one night he walks into the bar with his crew and he came every night I worked after that. We insistently connected and our chemistry became stronger the more we saw each other out of work and spoke every single day.
He was only in Guam for two months and I thought I’d never see him again until he asked me to be his girlfriend three weeks before he left. I said yes, of course, and shortly after he left Guam he asked me to move to Tennessee where he was living. So that same year we met in 2013. I relocated to Knoxville, TN where my life changed immensely. I have only ever lived on an island my whole life and knew nothing about the fast pace of the good ole US of A.
What are your favorite things to do together as a couple?
We love going to Disney World part of the reason we moved to Orlando, FL. We both enjoy staying at home and watching movies or TV shows. We enjoy BBQs with our friends and family. Most of all we love to eat Japanese food, especially sushi and sashimi.
How long were you together before getting engaged?
8.5 years

Share your marriage proposal story…
He proposed on an air balloon that is located at Disney Springs in Disney World. We are both Disney fanatics so it’s common for us to be at Disney.. That night was magical because everything was a surprise which started out a regular date night. That night we went to dinner and had Japanese food which is both our favorite then we went to watch a Disney acrobatic show and after he asked me to go on the air balloon with him. I am afraid of heights so I was facing the opposite of where he was standing and he said “ok, babe you can turn around” and as I turned there he was on his knees and asked me the words every girl dreams of “will you marry me”? I said yes of course because he is the love of my life and after 8.5 years together our love and chemistry is even stronger.
What was the best moment of the proposal?
The moment he asked me to marry him.
Who did you tell that you were engaged first?
My sisters, Mom, and my best friend.
Tell us about the ring!
The ring is 18k Gold vintage infinity and the diamond is a 2ct radiant cut shape.
How I haven’t cried yet. I am excited but I haven’t cried tears of joy yet.

What are you most excited about wedding planning?
For all of our friends and family to finally celebrate us as a married couple. And to show everyone just how much our ceremony decorations, song, flowers, etc are a part of who we are as a couple and individuals.
