We love a great restaurant proposal story, don’t you? When we saw one of our members, Taylor Kuperberg Photography, get engaged, we knew that we wanted to feature Taylor & Joe’s Melting Pot marriage proposal story.
Share with us when and how you met each other.
We met on Tinder in 2018 when we were both students at UCF.
What are your favorite things to do together as a couple?
We love to go to football games (Go Knights!), playing board games with friends, and travel! We have been on many road trips and vacations together. My favorite memory is a cruise we took together to the Bahamas.
How long were you together before getting engaged?
3 years.
Share your Melting Pot marriage proposal story…
I thought Joe would propose in May because I knew it was coming and we had already talked about May. He knew if he waited until May I would be expecting it. We went out on a date to one of our favorite places, The Melting Pot.
During dessert, Joe took my hands and told me how much he loved me. He did begin tearing up at this point. If you ask him for his side of the proposal he doesn’t remember much past this point. He did ask me to marry him.. and of course, I said… YES!!
What was the best moment of the proposal?
It was really sweet and intimate. It is exactly what I wanted for our proposal.
Who did you tell that you were engaged first?
My parents who knew it was happening.
Tell us about the ring!
I picked it out myself. I wanted something simple, elegant, and unique. I chose an emerald-cut diamond set with pave diamonds down the sides. We purchased it from James Allen.
People have already started asking when the wedding is… I just got engaged 3 days ago. I have no idea when the wedding is.

What are you most excited about wedding planning?
I am excited to see my dream wedding come to life.
I am planning the honeymoon first. That is what is most important to me. Everything else will be planned according to the honeymoon. We are planning on going on a cruise in 2022 around Europe.
We are doing a dark romantic wedding.
Have you selected any other vendors for your wedding?
Yes! Monica with As You Wish will be our wedding planner! She has been so beyond helpful already! We will be having Ava-Elise Events for decor and florals! They are amazing!
