We love a romantic proposal story, don’t you? When we heard this sweet story, we knew that we wanted to feature Ashmaine and Rajesh’s picnic marriage proposal in Clermont.
Share with us when and how you met each other.
Jesh and I met in college. We had mutual friends and we followed each other on social media. One day, he posted him spinning on the Hoover board and I commented.
Ever since that day, we haven’t stopped talking or hanging out. We would hang out and study or go on car dates and go to the park and go walking.
What are your favorite things to do together as a couple?
We are HUGE foodies and love trying different foods and new restaurants. We enjoy being able to cook with each other and for each other. We enjoy traveling with each other especially waterfront areas since Jesh likes to fish and I like scenic views.
We enjoy sleeping (lol). We also like watching tv and movies such as Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, Marvel, Harry Potter and Friends. We like taking walks and watching the sunsets or stargazing.
How long were you together before getting engaged?
Almost 7 years
Did anyone help with the picnic marriage proposal in Clermont?
Jesh’s family and friends helped and he hired a photographer.
Share your marriage proposal story…
I had no idea it was happening. He told me we were going to a fancy dinner so I got dressed up. After, we’re driving and I notice, “we aren’t going to Orlando”. He says, “no there’s this new restaurant here in Clermont/Groveland”. So we head to downtown Clermont.
After we park, he’s like, “oh I did a fancy picnic for us” and I’m thinking, yay I’m super excited but damn I could’ve worn sandals! Then he leads me to a spot where there are rose petals, candles and vases of roses and he hugs me and then he gets on one knee and asks me to marry him!

Tell us about the ring!
Jesh designed my ring. It’s pear shaped with a diamond intertwined ring; kind of like an infinity.
