Share with us when and how you met each other.
We met in college! A mutual friend mentioned how we should get to know each other but it wasn’t until we hung out once in the library on campus for us to really start talking.
What are your favorite things to do together as a couple?
We love watching movies together! If we have the option to stay in and have a snack-filled movie night, that is our first choice.
How long were you together before getting engaged?
A little over a year and a half.
Did anyone help with the private marriage proposal?
Nope! It was all him!

We spent the entire day together where he made me feel super special and took me to get my nails done. Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience and then spent ten minutes in the car crying about how terrible they looked even despite having asked the lady to fix them.
Then after we went and got lunch and went to watch a movie. He surprised me and took me out to get dinner at a Japanese steakhouse (which is my favorite!). After we went and walked around Universal Studios and played mini-golf, I was so unsuspecting as I thought it was just a very well-planned date.
Finally, he took me to this gorgeous secluded lake and popped the question!
What was the best moment of the proposal?
Hearing the sweetest and most sincere reasons why my fiancé loves me.
Who did you tell that you were engaged first?
As soon as it happened, I called my best friend Stephanie to tell her the news!! After, we went to my parents’ house and got to celebrate with them.
Tell us about the ring!
It is a pear-shaped moissanite from Kay Jewelers.
What are you most excited about wedding planning?
I absolutely love planning events so this is super fun for me!
If you’ve already decided, when are you getting married and what is your venue?
We will be getting married on July 22, 2023, in Holland, Michigan.
