Estate on the Halifax
How long has your venue been open?
Since 1999.
What makes your venue unique?
We are the definition of unique! The Estate on the Halifax is a 10-acre private venue located along the Halifax River. All of our buildings on the property are historic, built between 1897 and 1920s, in addition to our 1946 full-sized train car, used as our man cave. Our 1897 Chapel was originally used as the town hall in our city and was given to our family in 1997 so that the history could be preserved. Our Tavern, the reception facility, was a home built in the 1920s which has been modified and added on to in order to give us a 200-person capacity space which includes a dance floor, two bars and a balcony overlooking the property. Our couples have the ability to use the venue for their full wedding day and spend their honeymoon night in Agatha’s Cottage, a home built in 1913 which has an indoor heated pool and spa and with direct riverfront views. There is no other facility like our garden area with many century oaks, koi ponds and lush foliage for photo work and guest enjoyment.
We pride ourselves in our venue, ensuring that it is maintained at the highest standards both indoors and outside. We also provide an experience unlike any other with the single event per day access and overnight stay on property. Our clients agree that the venue offers something incredibly special we have received close to twenty 5 star reviews so far this year on The Knot, WeddingWire, and Facebook.
