Capturing the unique aspects of a couple’s love story or life through wedding photos can be challenging. It requires a special blend of creativity, insight, and technical skill. So when our team saw just how Live Happy Studio skillfully incorporated their groom’s sky-high day job into their wedding photos we just had to share. Learn more about Simone & Jon’s out-of-this-world wedding at the Highland Manor.
How did you bring the couple’s vision to life with the services/products that you provided?
One of the things we loved about this couple was their energy. Jon works for Tesla (Elon Musk owns both SpaceX and Tesla) and a rocket launch happened to be going off around sunset at the venue. Jon asked if it was possible for us to try and capture him and his new wife with the rocket in the background.
We said, challenge accepted. 🙂 And boy was it awesome.
“We are so so happy with our decision to have Kellie and Lindsey with Live Happy Studios photograph our wedding. Before the wedding, we had a call and several email exchanges with Kellie for assistance with the timeline and shot list. Day of, both Kellie and Lindsay were prompt, professionally dressed, and so fun! They made us feel comfortable and relaxed and made the day fun. After the wedding, they delivered our pictures quickly both via a secure website and a flash drive, and they put together gorgeous thank you notes for us to use. In all of our interactions, Kellie and Lindsay were responsive and timely. Most importantly, our photos are STUNNING and truly capture who we are and what our day was like. We cannot recommend Live Happy Studio highly enough.”

Tell me more about your roadmap of working with this couple.
Simone reached out because we are on the referral list with Dubsdread Historic Ballroom and Highland Manor, which we appreciate very much. Simone scheduled a phone call with us and from the word go, we knew we got along great! She was so bubbly and excited about her big day, it was contagious. Quickly after our phone call we supplied a contract to Simone and Jon and we were all locked in for their big day. Once we got closer to the big day we had a phone call and ironed all the details out with the schedule, shots she was looking for and just a general check in to make sure everything was perfect. And then, bam it was wedding day and we had such a great time working with this lovely couple.
What was your favorite personal or design detail that was unique to the couple included in this wedding?
Simone had used a vendor called, Something Borrowed Blooms to do her flowers. It’s a rent and return business that helps couples save money on renting silk flowers.
Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you’d like to share with other couples planning their day?
Plan for your wedding photos! These images serve as lasting memories that you and your loved ones will cherish for years to come. Skilled photographers can artistically document every emotional moment, from the anticipation of getting ready to the joy of the ceremony and the exuberance of the reception. Careful planning ensures that all essential shots are taken, including those with family and friends, so that no precious moment is missed. Additionally, having a well-thought-out photography plan can alleviate stress on the big day, allowing the couple to focus on the celebration and each other, secure in the knowledge that their memories are being expertly preserved.
