It’s Spotlight Day, where we introduce you to incredible Orlando wedding vendors and share the stories behind these companies who help Wedding Venue Map couples have their best wedding day.
Hiring the right wedding vendors is so important on your wedding day. The vendors create every moment, every detail, and every memory.
It gives us great pleasure to introduce this week’s vendor spotlight, Alejandra Maddox of Everything Cake.
When people ask “what do you do?” how do you answer?
I smile and I say “I do all kinds of custom cakes!” I love decorating cakes.
What did you do before you did this?
I worked in the culinary/pastry department at Portofino Bay Hotel, Royal Pacific Resort, and Rosen Shingle Creek Resort.
What is your favorite thing about what you do? What’s your WHY?
I really enjoy designing a custom cake for my clients, from drawing out a sketch with their preferences to seeing the final product on the day of the wedding. When it all comes together and my vision comes to life, it really makes me proud and happy to be able to create something so special for them.
What motivates you to do this every day?
My daughter inspires me and gives me strength every day to do what I do. I do it for us!
What is the best compliment you’ve received from your clients?
I have received many compliments and I cherish each of them. I hear my clients saying that they can see my passion and hard work I put on each of my cakes. My final product not only looks beautiful but it tastes delicious!
How did you decide on the name of your company?
My family helped me out picking the name for my company. It was quite fun to come up with ideas and then boom! …. Everything Cake came to life!
What is important for clients to know about your company before they book you?
I am a small business owner and I only take a few orders each week to give my full attention to their desires for a perfect wedding cake.
What types of events do you specialize in?
Weddings and all kinds of celebrations.
What is your best piece of advice for brides or grooms?
Have fun planning your wedding! Be unique and creative, be you!
Name three unique venues that you enjoy working at and why.
Luxmore Grande Estate
Mission Inn Resort
Lake Nona Country Club
They are great venues and I work pretty often with each of them.
What some of their previous couples had to say….
“Alejandra is such a pleasure to work with. From the moment we met up until our wedding day, she was accommodating, professional, and such a sweetheart. The cake tasting was awesome. She had over a dozen fillings and cakes to pair each one according to what we were looking for. Her knowledge of how to pair fillings, cakes, icing, etc. made it super simple to make a decision. All her flavors were delicious and we went with the vanilla lemon raspberry swirled. OMG! How delicious it was! Our guests complimented so much on the cake. And let’s not forget how beautiful our cake was as well. We wanted a simple semi-naked cake with greenery for our rustic themed wedding and she executed it perfectly! Thank you so much for making our day that much more memorable!!” – Zulay Urena, Ever After Farms Peach Barn
“Since our first interaction with Alejandra at a wedding expo at Mission Inn she was so sweet and professional, we just had to go with her and we are beyond happy that we did. The cake was everything we wanted and more. Our guests raved about how amazing the cake looked and it tasted amazing as well. We will definitely be using her services again and again. Her lemon raspberry is to die for!” – Ida Ramirez-Cooke, Mission Inn Marina
“From the first e-mail until my actual wedding day, Alejandra was nothing but warm, professional, and just an amazing person to do business with! She is not only a phenomenal baker but a true artist. She sketched out my dream cake in minutes after carefully listening to everything we wanted. Her cake was so delicious and she offers many different flavors and combinations. We had our tasting at her house and you just feel so cozy and it’s definitely a memorable experience. Amazing! amazing!!” – Morgan, Luxmore Grande Estate
