It’s Spotlight Day, where we introduce you to incredible Orlando wedding venues and share the stories behind these companies who help Wedding Venue Map couples have their best wedding day.
Hiring the right wedding venues is so important on your wedding day. The venue creates the backdrop of every moment, every picture, and every memory. It gives us great pleasure to introduce this week’s venue spotlight, Angela Miller of Sugar Mill Country Club.
What is your favorite thing about what you do? What’s your WHY?
I love making the couple’s big day stress-free! Helping a couple start their life together is very rewarding and I try to ensure that the whole process goes smoothly. No bride should be stressed on her wedding day. I make sure all is in order with the vendors, etc. so she can focus on her friends and making herself beautiful!
What motivates you to do this every day?
The smiles on the couple’s faces and the thank you notes I receive! When I am planning a wedding, I do it as if it were my own or my best friend’s. I don’t forget the little details that make the day special.
What is the best compliment you’ve received from your clients?
That the ceremony and the reception were flawless. They didn’t have to worry about what was next because I was coordinating everything, from the first toast right up to the cake cutting.
What types of events do you specialize in?
We specialize in weddings mostly. We also do reunions, birthdays, etc. Any reason to have a party!
Why do couples hire you?
I believe it is because they fell in love with the beauty of the club. I also believe it is because they know I am with them every step of the way in the planning process and present all day and evening on their wedding day.
What does your most popular package include?
All of our packages are customizable to the specific needs of the couple. They don’t have to “pick a package” and conform to what we do. I walk them through all options and personalize their day with them. We conform to their needs.
The best piece of advice for brides or grooms?
Eat on the day of the wedding! Bring comfortable shoes to change into if needed. Designate a friend or two to bring the bridal party cocktails during the photos! (I do this, too!)
And consider a cell phone-free ceremony. You don’t want to walk down the aisle and all you see are your guests holding up their cell phones taking photos (or see them in your professional photos holding up their phones). Your photographer will get all the photo ops.
