Bringing the couple’s vision to life with the services provided
This couple had already been married for a year and wanted to celebrate not only their anniversary but also their loved ones being with them on this journey as well. In addition to that, Tinaiya had great news the morning of their wedding celebration- she found out she was pregnant with their first child!
She wanted to surprise her husband, Johnny, but sneaking in photos of her holding her positive pregnancy test during their First Touch/Prayer. He was in for a huge surprise on Father’s Day, which was 1 week after their champagne wedding!
The favorite detail that was unique to the couple included in their champagne wedding
During their ceremony, this couple incorporated their faith by having a worship singer along with the band, perform live before their vows. It was beautiful seeing the couple and the guests have a moment, lifting their hands and singing along.
The couple are members of Somos Church in Lakeland Florida so it was sweet to see their community come through for them in this way.
The roadmap for working with the couple on their champagne wedding
Tinaiya and Johnny were such a pleasure to work with; they knew exactly what they wanted and really let me express creatively on their champagne wedding day. They reach out to me around 5 months before their wedding, and from their we scheduled a consultation to discuss what my workflow would look like if their were to book.
I made it a point to check in with them periodically to go over their timeline and shot list to ensure I had everything I needed to make sure their day was covered.
The morning of the wedding, Tinaiya contacted me with the good news of her pregnancy and her request to incorporate this news with her first touch with Johnny. As soon as I knew I made sure to contact her videographer to relay the news and keep it a secret!
Afterwards, it was smooth sailing with the photos. They came out beautifully, and I was able to deliver on time in the 4-6 week window. I was truly so grateful for being a part of their day, I wanted to thank them with a gift from me personally by sending them a customized candle with their portraits on it.
Wedding planning or marriage advice for other couples planning their day
I would always recommend getting a planner and/or coordinator for your wedding day. The coordination team at Idlewood was so amazing. They definitely took the stress off of the couple, and in turn that took the stress off of me as a vendor. They were dedicated to making this day go as seamlessly as possible!
