“I have always loved moons and stars so much and have always dreamed of having it for my wedding. I reached out to Candace to see if she would be interested in possibly planning a styled shoot and she was so excited for it. She literally made my dreams come true and I loved everything about this styled shoot.” – Alexis Pratts of Alexis Pratts Photography
“Each wedding presents a new opportunity for me to create a painting that captures a special moment in a unique way. With this event’s celestial theme, it was a no brainer to focus the painting on the couple’s twilight dance on the clouds. Within the painting, I put an emphasis on the room’s warmer, pinker colors to help transport the viewer to this particularly romantic and special moment in time.” – Event Painting by Jamie
“I was very inspired by the color selection for this shoot. I used the deep navy blue, gold and purple as the jumping-off point for this theme. I later got influenced by vintage Art Nouveau illustrations of the moon and it brought the design together.” – Glory Co
“My priority when making the signage for the celestial shoot was to take what could typically be bland signage, typically made strictly for function, and turn it into the extra pieces of sparkle. I sourced mirrors and paints that allowed the table numbers, welcome sign, and bar signage to represent the stars on a dark evening.” – Art of the Alphabet
“With the celestial theme, the goal was to bring the idea of different textures to our bar experience. How do you do that when talking about stars and the moon…of course through decor but we didn’t stop there. We focused on drinkware that mimics the rocky texture of the moons’ surface, garnish shaped like stars and an out of this galaxy-inspired cocktail.” – Bubble Buggi
Fashion
Creating each and every detail of a styled shoot is so valuable to the local engaged couples picturing their perfect day, but included in those details you can’t forget the attire and beauty to give them the full picture.
The fashion team from this over the moon celestial theme styled shoot shares their choices and how they embrace the concept.
“Our inspiration relied heavily on celestial bodies. We discussed the spectrum of color that we see in different galaxies and cosmic phenomena. We wanted to embody a little of the wonder and mystery while pulling in colors that you don’t normally see in bridal.” – Gabriella Anthoney’s Design Artistry
“We wanted to provide dresses and headpieces that gave just enough sparkle and “wow” to complement the celestial theme. Each dress was selected with the model and a plethora of different shooting stations in mind. Showcasing how there can be varied within a theme gave us an extra boost of inspiration!” – Kismet Bridal
