Hannah and Austin celebrated their romantic blush wedding at The Garden Villa, an intimate indoor and large-scale outdoor garden wedding venue.
When we saw their amazing images from Joanna Moore Photography, we knew that their beautiful wedding would inspire other couples in Central Florida. Joanna shared her experience working with this couple below.
How did you bring the couple’s vision to life with the photography services that you provided?
The couple wanted a romantic blush wedding with pink undertones throughout since they were getting married right before Valentine’s Day. I brought this to life through more romantic posing, and I made sure to highlight all of the details that brought their vision to life.
What was your favorite personal detail that was unique to the couple included in this romantic blush wedding?
My personal favorite thing about this wedding was not solely one detail. I just loved how the entire theme came together with all of the pink and white details that were executed perfectly by the vendor team.
Tell me more about your roadmap of working with this couple.
This couple reached out to my based off of previous work they and seen of mine done at Garden Villa. She told me her vision and I fell in love with it and believed she chose the perfect location. She definitely had a very clear vision. We had a phone call a few weeks prior to the wedding and the couple explained they wanted someone getting ready photos at their hotel, Alfond Inn – then we would head to their venue.
They did not want woodsy type photos but more light and in open areas, so I made sure to be thoughtful of that when taking their photos. It was awesome seeing them light up when they saw all of the details of their wedding day.
Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you’d like to share with other couples planning their day?
A wedding planning tip I have is that it is definitely worth having a coordinator, or if you are unable to – a dedicated person in charge who is fully aware of your wedding day needs. This takes a huge pressure and stress off of you to be able to fully relax and enjoy your day.

Wedding Venue Map Tip: Have you ever heard that scent is the most powerful memory trigger? This is why choosing your own wedding perfume or cologne is a pro tip for commemoration of this most special day. A quick spray several years down the road could bring back these happy memories in an instant!
Wedding Venue Map Tip: When your guests arrive, confirm they are at the right place with a custom welcome sign with the wedding couples’ names.
Wedding Venue Map Tip: You’ll never regret looking back at the partner’s face as their beloved walks down the aisle. The one coming down the aisle may be beaming, but the one at the aisle might be emoting even more. This makes for beautiful photos if you want to ask your photographer to get that specific shot.
Wedding Venue Map Tip: Make sure you have someone carrying your gorgeous train if your dress has one! Especially if your ceremony is outdoors, you don’t want it dragging in the dirt before you have a chance to bustle it. Someone in the wedding party or family would be happy to help in this way.
Wedding Venue Map Tip: You can ask your officiant before the ceremony to jump out of view for a few photo snaps at the end – Rev Kevin Knox with A Beautiful Ceremony is one of the best at disappearing before the kiss.
Wedding Venue Map Tip: Your photographer probably already knows, but you can ask them to be sure to capture all of the details to show off things like your gorgeous and personalized rings, bouquet, personalized cocktail signs, etc.
Wedding Venue Map Tip: You can always tie in your heritage into the details of your day! Get creative with tributes to your family history like these sugared almonds that Hannah and Austin left for their guests in honor of an Italian Wedding tradition.
Wedding Venue Map Tip: You signage can tie your main color themes throughout your entire reception space. These can be things like bar signs, your seating chart, tables signage and name place cards, etc.
Wedding Venue Map Tip: Consider a sweetheart table to highlight yourselves as the couple of honor! You can tie in unique design details and florals according to your theme here as well.
Wedding Venue Map Tip: Our Wedding Venue Map DJ’s recommend that the couple get out on the dance floor to get the crowd moving! Your guests will follow you. If you dance and set the tone, they will be dancing, too. If you hang out at the bar, they might follow. Don’t be afraid to set the tone and dance your heart out if you want to motivate your guests onto the dance floor.
Congratulations Hannah & Austin on your romantic blush wedding story!
