Cristal and Steven celebrated their St. Augustine Winter Wedding at The Treasury on the Plaza. The team at Wedding Venue Map connected with them and their venue, The Treasury on the Plaza, to find out all the details to make up their special day!
How many of us are lucky enough to fall in love with our high school sweetheart? For Cristal and Steven Livingston, it was fate.
With a custom-made gown and suit by Innas Designs, five-tier strawberry-champagne and amaretto cake, and specialty cocktails such as “Sweet Sapper” and “Alexander the Great”, this St. Augustine Winter Wedding was made up of small details that the couple will remember forever.
How did the couple meet?
While both the bride and groom were born in Orlando, Florida, Cristal spent most of her childhood living in Ohio. When high school started to approach, she pleaded with her family to move back home to the Sunshine State.
If it wasn’t for this desire, Cristal may have never met the love of her life.

For their special day, Cristal and Steven knew they wanted a venue that would stand out. “We fell in love with the history of the venue,” said Cristal.
“We loved the fact that the Treasury used to be a bank, and we especially loved the old vault that’s been turned into a bar.”
The winter wedding was also the couple’s first time experiencing Nights of Lights, St. Augustine’s annual holiday event featuring millions of white twinkling lights, a sparkling detail the two will never forget.
What were some of your favorite parts of your wedding?
Famous preacher Paula White, of Paula White Ministries, officiated the ceremony. “We were very honored to have Paula as our officiant,” said Cristal.
“She valued and honored our wedding day and completely understood the importance that takes place when two become one. Having her take time off from her busy schedule to celebrate our special day was truly remarkable.”
However, the celebrity appearances didn’t stop there. Paula is married to musician Jonathan Cain, keyboardist for the band Journey. Though the two attended the reception as guests, Cain surprised the newlyweds with an exceptional performance of famous renditions on a miniature keyboard, including “Faithfully,” “Open Arms,” and “Don’t Stop Believin’.”
“I was speechless!” Cristal gushed. “It was unexpected, and his performance had me in complete tears. The funny thing is he didn’t even have a full-size piano, yet he still played every key to perfection!”
Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you’d like to share with other couples planning their day?
“It was an absolute breeze getting married at the historic Treasury on the Plaza,” said Cristal. “The staff was so sweet! They always made me and Steven laugh and ensured that everything went smoothly. I couldn’t be happier with our experience. It was our special St. Augustine Winter Wedding.”
