An unforgettable evening of inspiration at The Alfond Inn. When you’re planning a wedding, you’re not just creating an event—you’re crafting an experience. At The Art of Weddings: 2025 Wedding Trends + Runway Show, couples were treated to an immersive look at what’s next in the world of wedding design, fashion, and celebration.
Hosted at the elegant and art-filled Alfond Inn, the event brought together some of Central Florida’s top wedding creatives to set the scene for what your dream day could look like.
From bold draping and vibrant linens to fashion-forward attire and editorial photography, every detail was intentional—and every vendor played a part in bringing it all to life.
A Venue That Doubles as Art
The Alfond Inn isn’t just a backdrop—it’s a statement. More than just a hotel, it’s also a contemporary art space (thanks to its connection with Rollins College), and that creative energy infused every moment of the evening.
Ally Streeter with The Alfond Inn said, “This event was not just another wedding expo—it was designed to inspire couples and wedding industry members through elevated design, fashion, food, and florals,” the team at The Alfond Inn shared. “Guests walked away with more than brochures—they experienced the feel of a wedding at The Alfond Inn, with music, styled event spaces, champagne, and more.”
That experience was made even more special by the layout and vibe of the venue itself.
“We are an All-In-One venue, so guests can just enjoy the event and not worry about commuting. We also double as a contemporary art space (thanks to our connection with Rollins College). The design of The Alfond Inn allows for a seamless transition from one part of the event to another. We have a ton of different photo opportunities around the hotel that guests and vendors love.”
“Couples love The Alfond Inn because of the following items that make us unique to Central Florida: Boutique Elegance, our Art Collection, and our Beautiful Outdoor and Indoor Venue Options. Couples looking for an entire wedding weekend also love our hotel because of the walkability to Park Avenue.”
Elevated Design Starts with the Details
When it comes to your wedding design, the magic is in the mix—of textures, materials, and thoughtful touches.
From a design perspective, EventWorks helped set the tone with an intentional blend of vibrant linens, trendy China and glassware, specialty seating, and crescent bars.
“Our rentals, with the collaboration of The Alfond Inn, were inspired by fun visual appeals of sophistication and romance,” they explained. “Layered materials like velvet, metal, and glass added texture and dimension, creating a space that felt both elevated and intimate.”
Another element that transformed the space? Draping. And not the kind you’ve seen before. “More and more we are seeing our clients want new patterns of drape, new designs—and not just the boring straight white drape,” said the team at Fyerfly Productions. “We think you will see a lot of 2025 with more bold drape designs like we are doing for this event.”
Together, these layered elements created a mood that was anything but cookie-cutter. If you’re dreaming of a wedding that feels like you, think beyond just color schemes and start with how the space makes your guests feel when they walk in.
Fashion that Tells a Story
Let’s talk about what you and your partner will wear when you walk down the aisle—and how to make those choices feel personal, modern, and unforgettable.
At the show, the runway lit up with bold menswear looks by Leonardo 5th Avenue.
Here is what they had to say: “We highlighted several key fashion trends that bring a fresh and modern perspective to wedding attire for both men and women.
One of the trends we talked about was color. We moved beyond traditional black and white, featuring rich shades like browns, hues of blue ranging from light to midnight, and greens from lime to emerald. We also incorporated luxurious fabrics such as jacquards with interesting textures, adding depth and dimension to classic silhouettes.
Accessories played a big role in this season’s looks. We featured oversized bow ties, statement brooches worn on lapels, ascots, and exaggerated ties, all serving as bold alternatives for ceremonial accessories. Trousers also saw a shift towards a more relaxed and comfortable structure without compromising elegance.
Another notable trend was the resurgence of the dinner jacket look, combining lighter-colored blazers with darker trousers, which is a fresh and versatile style that can seamlessly translate from day to night.
One of the most defining trend themes we showcased was Quiet Luxury. This movement embraces a minimalistic approach focused on impeccable tailoring, high-quality fabrics, and an overall polished aesthetic. It’s about understated elegance and garments that feel luxurious without being overly flashy, creating timeless looks for any gender.
The demand for women’s suits and tuxedos in the wedding space has grown tremendously in recent years.
Traditionally, tuxedos have always been a staple on the men’s side of weddings. However, today’s groom is becoming increasingly bold and creative with their wardrobe choices, moving beyond conventional styles and embracing personalization.
On the women’s side, the shift has been even more significant. We’re seeing more brides opting for tailored suits or tuxedos. Whether it’s for their bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, second look, or even as their ceremonial attire. Female wedding guests are also embracing this trend, choosing tuxedos or suits as chic, sophisticated alternatives to dresses.
It’s exciting to see how tailored looks are breaking gender norms and becoming a powerful statement of style and individuality within wedding fashion.”
Tips from Leonardo 5th Avenue: When it comes to selecting the perfect formalwear for the big day, there are a few key factors couples should keep in mind.
Understand Dress Codes: Take the time to understand the dress codes (Black Tie, Formal, Semi-Formal, etc.) and what each truly means. Once decided, clearly communicate this dress code to the wedding party and guests, offering them guidance or examples of attire options.
Coordinate, Don’t Match: The goal is to create harmony within the wedding party’s looks, not to have everyone dressed identically. Play with complementary tones, textures, and fabrics that look cohesive but allow each individual to shine.
Let the Couple Stand Out: The bride and groom should always have looks that distinguish them from the rest of the wedding party. For example, avoid matching the groom’s suit exactly to the groomsmen or using the same color palette as the bridesmaids. Instead, elevate the couple’s attire through special details, unique accessories, or richer fabrics to ensure they remain the focal point of the celebration.
The Bridal Finery wowed the audience with gowns that are perfect for today’s fashion-forward brides. Here is what they had to say: “At the Runway Show, we highlighted a mix of minimalist elegance and romantic detail — two styles that are defining 2025 bridal fashion. Brides are gravitating toward clean lines, textured silhouettes, and elevated simplicity.
Think structured Mikado, square necklines, and subtle architectural details. On the other end of the spectrum, we’re seeing a return to romanticism with textured florals, soft draping, and detachable elements like sleeves and overskirts that offer versatility.
What’s exciting is that brides are now blending these styles — combining timeless sophistication with personal touches that feel modern and meaningful. The trend is less about what’s “in” and more about what feels authentic to the bride. 2025 is the year of intentional fashion.
We believe the gown should reflect the bride — not just her venue or color palette. Our job isn’t to match her to her table linens or florals; it’s to help her feel like the most elevated, confident version of herself. Every bride walks in with a different energy, and we focus on capturing that.
We spend time understanding how she wants to feel on her wedding day — powerful, romantic, effortless, bold — and guide her toward styles that align with that feeling. The venue might influence certain practicalities like fabric or train length, but it shouldn’t limit her. Whether she’s getting married in a garden or a grand ballroom, her gown should be a true expression of who she is.
Tips from The Bridal Finery: Start with an open mind, and be ready to fall in love with something unexpected. In 2025, there’s more freedom than ever to choose a gown that feels like you — not just what’s trending on Pinterest. Bring inspiration, but also trust the styling process.
Also, consider the versatility of your dress. Detachable pieces, convertible styles, and mix-and-match accessories are great ways to create multiple looks for different parts of the day without needing a second dress. And lastly, don’t wait too long to order — designers are offering more customization options, but those can take time. Give yourself enough space to enjoy the process!
Together, these designers made it clear: in 2025, wedding fashion is all about versatility, confidence, and expressing your unique love story.
Photography That Feels Like You
As you begin envisioning your wedding, think about this: when the day is over, your photos are what remain. Choosing a photographer who understands your vision is everything.
At The Art of Weddings, Bouquet Photography brought an editorial approach that perfectly captured the textures, lighting, and emotional energy of the event. They said, “Our goal is always to tell a story through thoughtful, artful imagery—and The Art of Weddings: Wedding Trends & Runway Show 2025 was filled with inspiration at every turn.
From the moment guests arrived at The Alfond Inn, we focused on capturing the energy, elegance, and creativity that defined the evening. Every frame was composed to reflect the latest in wedding design—from modern floral installations to elevated bridal fashion.
We paid close attention to textures, lighting, and candid moments that conveyed the heart behind the trends. Whether it was a soft veil sweeping down the runway or guests marveling at curated tablescapes, we wanted every image to feel timeless yet of-the-moment.”
What stood out from their lens? “The rise of editorial-inspired wedding photography and fashion-forward styling will continue to thrive in 2025. The bold bridal looks, sleek silhouettes, and soft monochromatic color palettes we captured at the show are already resonating with couples who want their wedding gallery to feel like pages from a magazine.
We also noticed a growing appreciation for movement and emotion. Those in-between moments that tell a real love story. As photographers, we’re excited to lean into these storytelling elements and help our couples feel like the main characters in their own modern fairytale.”
Floral Inspiration in Full Bloom
As the in-house floral partner of The Alfond Inn for over six years, Fairbanks Florist brought thoughtful design and color storytelling to every part of The Art of Weddings.
Each section of the event featured a different Champagne — and the label colors inspired the florals. “The Champagne bottle label colors were the inspiration for the flower colors requested by Cathi for each event.”
The runway show reflected what their couples love most: “Soft neutral tones are classic and timeless… pink, peach, yellow, and green are perennial for spring weddings. Monochromatic blends of pink to burgundy are always a showstopper — and don’t forget light blue with the pink!”
Their floral framed both the indoor and outdoor runway, ready for a last-minute rain move. “The floral fit both locations seamlessly.” Attendees loved the creative designs, and LED lamps — something Fairbanks has been using for years — are now one of the “hottest new trends” they’re seeing requested by couples.
Their advice to couples? “Remember that when you look back on your wedding photos you will want to still love the color and decorations you chose. Sometimes trends are just that and don’t really belong incorporated into your wedding day.”
Fairbanks Florist continues to deliver “upscale luxury floral designs” with a style that’s both trend-aware and timeless.
