Larry and Ebony celebrated their vibrant Lakeland Wedding with their ceremony at Hollis Garden and their reception at Lakeland Venue.

We knew we needed to feature this couple’s vibrant Lakeland wedding when we saw their amazing images. Johanny, with Era Evolve Media, shared her experience working with Larry and Ebony on their vibrant Lakeland wedding.

How did you bring the couple’s vision to life with the service that you provided?

I captured all the important moments that the couple will look back at years from now. As the photographer, I consulted with the couple and really understood their vision for the day.

The areas they wanted to do portraits were the specific moment of the bride’s getting ready portion, and the special dances during the reception. I provided 5 hours of coverage for their day with the help of an assistant for portraits and equipment carrying.

What was your favorite personal or design detail that was unique to the couple included in this vibrant Lakeland wedding?

The groom’s suit was a special detail! It’s not every day that you see a bright red suit, and the groom was tasteful with his style, and his eclectic personality showed in how he dressed himself, so I wanted to be able to capture his personality through these photos.

Tell me more about your roadmap for working with this couple.

This couple came through a recommendation from the Venue owner of Lakeland Venue. Once the groom contacted me, I made sure to schedule a time to call him and talk over the details that I have in my couple’s questionnaire. Once I learned about his story and how he met his fiancée, I knew we were a match.

After booking, I was able to stay in contact with the couple, create a shot list and schedule, get in contact with their planner, revise the schedule some more and by the time April 12 came around I wanted to do my best to ensure that they didn’t have to worry about anything on my end so they could focus on living in the moment and I could focus on capturing it.

I have a 4-week turnaround time for wedding photos, so I went right ahead to culling, processing, retouching, and editing the photos.

Looking over them multiple times and ensuring all of their needs were met as we discussed in the consultation at the beginning of the process.

I was able to deliver the gallery on time, with every photo organized into its own folder based on the event for the day, so they don’t get overwhelmed with the amount of photos.

Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you’d like to share with other couples planning their day?

Some advice I would give to couples planning an event like this is to take your time with it. Explore your vendors, get your pricing lined up for comparison.

Pricing is important, but what’s more important is the quality of memories that you actually want to cherish.

There are a lot of photographers out there who aren’t necessarily passionate about creating the photos that will live in your photo album for years to come. The ones who are passionate will show you in the experience that they give you.

They will be involved, easy to contact, accommodating, and overall understanding of what it’s like to be in your shoes.

Congratulations, Larry and Ebony, on your vibrant Lakeland real wedding story!
