Monica and Nick celebrated their whimsical wedding at Hidden Barn Venue, a picturesque countryside establishment in Apopka, Florida.

Tell us about how you chose your ceremony and reception venue.
We chose Hidden Barn Venue because it is absolutely stunning and it checked off all that we were looking for in a venue.
They have a getting ready area for large groups, beautifully well-kept grounds, picturesque areas, backup ceremony areas for various weather conditions, among other great qualities.
Tell us about your wedding? What was the inspiration behind our day? Did you have a specific theme, style or color palette? Did you incorporate any cultural or religious traditions in any part of your day?
Our wedding inspiration was whimsical garden style with special touches featuring our pets and Star Wars (since we were married on May 4th). Our color palette was a colorful variety, perfect for the spring.
We had a special unity ceremony. We used a script, written by us, about how we created lightsabers in Batu at Walt Disney World during our bachelor/bachelorette party to use for our wedding.
We ignited them and crossed them to symbolize our unity and carefully chose our kyber crystals to be things we will need in our marriage loving forward.
What were the personal details of the wedding that are a great reflection of you as a couple? What were some of your favorite parts of your whimsical wedding at Hidden Barn Venue?
We included our three furbabies in multiple parts of our wedding. We also did some touches of Star Wars (R2-D2 was our ring bearer).
My partner does not speak Spanish but surprised me by saying his vows in Spanish, which was a really special moment. My favorite part was having a harpist play music at ceremony and having a fun experience for our guests with a photobooth bus.
Let’s talk wedding decor. How did you decorate your space for the ceremony and the reception? Was any part of the decor DIY?
I carefully started shopping for unique pieces to include in our decor. Some was wedding decor was purchased gently used or new from other brides, and some items were thrifted. I am a visual person so I practiced at home with tables how I wanted our tables to look and took pictures to share with our coordinator for set-up.
What was the most anticipated or special moment of your wedding day?
Seeing both of our families and friends all in one day witnessing our love was the most special moment to have. Just being all together.
What was the most important lesson you learned while planning your whimsical wedding at Hidden Barn Venue?
Don’t stress! Everything will be fine

Keep organized, take pictures of setup, keep a list of items, organize your decor per area.
